Business software ai-driven solutions delivered at speed
I recently started using Flatlogic Generator, and I must say, it's truly a remarkable tool for anyone looking to bring their software ideas to life, especially if you don't have coding skills. This AI-driven platform transforms concepts into actual code with just plain English, saving countless hours that would typically be spent on development.
What I find most impressive is how it allows me to visualize my ideas and create a partially coded MVP that I can hand off to my developer. It enhances communication and ensures that my vision is well understood.
Looking ahead, I’m excited about what Flatlogic Generator will offer in the future. The roadmap is packed with features that promise to elevate the experience even further. Here are some highlights:
• Request changes to code/layout through AI conversation
• A variety of ready-to-use templates for SaaS apps, ERPs, CRMs, E-commerce, and resource management
• Stripe integration for seamless payment processing
• UI preview of the app as you build
• A user-friendly drag-and-drop builder
• The ability to generate static websites on demand ----> WOW!
The team behind Flatlogic is incredibly active and responsive, which gives me confidence in their commitment to making this platform a standout in the industry. I believe it has the potential to become a giant in this space, and I'm excited to be part of its journey.
It's worth noting that many people seem to overlook the incredible functionality that Flatlogic Generator offers, and that's the "why" of such an unfair low ratings. I believe that those who don’t fully understand its potential may face regrets down the line. This platform is designed to revolutionize how we approach software development, and missing out on it could mean missing out on a game-changing opportunity. I truly think that once more people catch on to what Flatlogic can do, they will realize just how valuable it is for bringing their ideas to life.
Thank you to the Flatlogic team for your hard work and dedication. I'm all in for what you will bring to support my business ideas. We appreciate your efforts and are here to help however we can. Honor your LTD early supporters, and believe that we'll make this a success together!
This software is a work in progress, but it looks great so far. There are many options in the back-end to create a rapid prototype. It's mainly geared towards the creation of CRMs and other management tools. So you won't be able to create a custom app. But it's an interesting tool to play with.
I bought this a couple month ago but hadn't had the time to play with it , as soon as I bought it I created a CRM with my first app and left it alone for like a week after about two weeks I received a email from the team to see if I wanted to further develop the app as I guess it triggered a mvp workflow but didn't pay much mind to it since I was out of the country ... I end up logging into my application I created about a month later and been playing around with it , and it's actually pretty good the ai from flatlogic took me about 80 percent there, to a finished crm there's very little I need to finish it and push it out ... This code it created is actually pretty complex stuff so I'd say 3 developers plus me would of finished this project in 2 to 3 month us coding it ourselves plus the hosting ... Id say flatlogic generator has a greatd deal and a good product on their hands specially with AI moving so fast I recommend this product!!! Great work team
I found this app awesome, especially for independent business owners. After testing it out, I opted to upgrade to a higher subscription level once I became proficient with its features.
As a long-time user of various tech products, I've seen many platforms grow and evolve. I recently tried to build a basic CRM with Flatlogic, spending 20 minutes explaining the requirements, including a before and after photo upload capability for a beauty salon. Unfortunately, I found the experience lacking, as I couldn't make modifications on the fly. The button for uploading a photo was there but it was not functional and even if it was it was implemented, it was completely wrong so it would not have been usable even if upload did work.
However, my journey didn't stop there. I tried websim.ai and was able to deploy a functional front end in less than a minute. Everything worked smoothly, but it lacked a backend. This highlighted to me that while Flatlogic offers a comprehensive solution, there are areas where it could learn from its competitors.
Here’s what I found:
Ease of Use: Flatlogic's interface can feel like hitting your head against a wall. Simplifying the process could help users get started more quickly, similar to the seamless front-end deployment I experienced with websim.ai.
Flexibility: The inability to make on-the-fly modifications was a significant drawback. Adding more flexibility and customization options would be beneficial.
Backend Integration: While Flatlogic provides a complete solution with backend integration, ensuring that it’s as robust and user-friendly as the front end is crucial. Drawing inspiration from the efficiency of websim.ai's front-end design could enhance Flatlogic’s overall offering.
Customer Feedback: Despite providing detailed feedback to Flatlogic, I felt that my input was not taken seriously. The response I received was a default reply, which gave the impression that customer feedback is not a priority. It’s essential for Flatlogic to listen to its users and evolve based on their needs. Ignoring valuable customer insights could hinder the platform's growth and improvement.
Being a pioneer in creating full-fledged web applications is commendable, but it's essential to keep evolving based on user feedback. Remember, even industry leaders must continuously innovate to stay relevant.
I do not write reviews often. And if the customer service was good but the product was not I will leave well enough alone. Due to my own greed I had some initial issues getting Flatlogic registered. This was not Flatlogics fault or Appsumo's. (A word to the wise - if you want to cancel and repurchase something on Appsumo day - do the repurchase first.)
On to the review.
First I love it. It did what it said it was going to do and a bit more. I decided to give the AI a shot. There is a new project I am looking at and I thought this may be the time to take it out of the box and fire it up. We all know by now that the key to AI is the quality of your prompt. So here is a big shortcut for those who have or will buy:
I put in the following prompt:
I want to use an AI system to build a complete CRM for xxxxxxxxxxx. I want to offer the functionality found here: https://www.competitor.com/feature page/
Can you help me write a complete prompt
This was in perplexity.ai
I am not one to read the directions until all else fails so I pushed the button that said create new app and gave the app a name. I then pasted in the response from my prompt. The system asked me about half a dozen questions that I could have skipped but I was happy to answer them. The system knew to ask things that were not in my prompt. Once I was done answering questions I pushed the button. It told me I would get an email in about 5 minutes. About 4500 lines of code later and a savings of about 380 hours it was done. Total time spent - maybe 25 minutes. I tested what it gave me and it works. I will use AI to add code for features that this does not yet create (and it told me which ones) but I am blown away. If you can afford Tier 4 I would not hesitate. You have 60 days but I am telling you - This is cool. 5 Tacos 6 Burritos and a cold drink. Thanks Flatlogic
I recently explored Flatlogic with the Tier 4 AppSumo license, and I’m impressed. It’s a strong alternative to Creative Tim’s lifetime admin dashboard, offering innovative and high-quality templates that make web development easier.I hope to see more templates and a drag-and-drop builder in future updates.
Overall, Flatlogic shows great promise and I’m excited to see how it evolves. This time, I'm not regretting past years of not investing in TeleportHQ.
I read the other reviews but still wanted to give Flatlogic a try. I ran through the devleopment side and noticed some of the same things as others:
* It creates apps based on a pretty standardized template (that's fine by me)
* The AI doesn't fully capture your input when developing the schemas ('eh, I can edit it manually as needed)
The most concerning part to me as I'm trying to test out the system-- when you try to either connect to GitHub or download the code, it says "ATTENTION: Once you download the project or link it to GitHub, you will no longer be eligible for a refund through AppSumo."
Let me just say here, AppSumo needs to clarify if this is even true. I don't think Flatlogic can technically even do this under AppSumo's terms-- I have 60 days for a refund after testing/using the software, not 60 days for a refund if I don't use key elements of the app. What if it just crashes when I attempt to download, or can't export to GitHub? The fact that i've tried invalidates my refund-ability? I doubt it, but more importantly I don't want to deal with trying to force a refund if they get sassy.
As far as being a potential user goes-- to me, it's a big red flag that they don't want users seeing the code they're creating and/or comparing it variations in actual dev tools while they can still back out. It leads me to believe the generated code is either ENTIRELY template based, or of such low quality that anyone seeing it would want a refund (so they "make" you forfeit it before you do so).
I'd like to hear from AppSumo before I refund, I still see potential in the tool, but the customer service side is not great in my experience so far.

I was excited to try this out after purchasing during App Sumo Day. But as previous reviews mentioned, it appears very much that the "AI generated" code is based solely upon a set list of pre-made templates/limited technologies.
I refunded straight after the first application was generated.
When you answer the long list if usage-case questions and specify 3 main components (vanilla JS, Capacitor mobile and Bootstrap 5) and get an app with completely different specs, that are more aligned with their Premium additional purchase templates (React, Node js and Tailwind), then you know it's not a suitable fit.
I was really excited by the prospect of Flatlogic and purchased a Tier 4 license as soon as I saw it. The idea seemed really interesting, being able to generate a full application, with hosting included. But since using it, there are a few big drawbacks that have left me with less confidence in the product.
1) The "generated" applications appear to be simply auto deployments of templates with the AI just generating the database structure. Every application I've generated looks, feels, and works exactly the same, no matter what I ask for. The database is generated and can be regenerated, which is nice, but the actual software itself just appears to be a basic CRM template - no matter what I ask for. I appreciate that AI cannot realistically generate a full application, but the fact there aren't any differences in the design or functionality of the applications makes it unlikely to solve any real world problems - unless you're in need of a basic CRM.
2) There are bugs in the software when it's generated, despite it appearing to come directly from the template. In every single generated application there appears to be a page with check boxes, ticking any of these checkboxes throws a client side error. And now the API documentation that's generated has all of the POST API's listed as performing delete functionality, with no real POST API included. The fact this appears in every application makes me even more certain that this is just generating from one template which has built in errors.
My initial aim was to use this to be able to quickly create an admin dashboard with an API to act as a backend for web apps and mobile applications. The fact it spins up a databse instantly with pre-written documentation was ideal for this purpose. But it simply doesn't work for that purpose, unfortunately, the API documentation is incorrect and the documentation only tells you that you can edit the name and description in the PUT endpoint - and, as detailed earlier, the POST endpoint documentation seems to be broken.
3) And this is the biggest one. The questionaire that the AI asks before "generating" the application asks questions about features that cannot be included in the generated appliacation. This isn't just the AI going off script because it's AI, the same questions are asked every time but with slightly different wording, so there is a structure to the questions. Within a couple of days of the application being generated a quote is always sent by email for custom development, with these features being included in the quote. This leaves a bit of a sour taste in the mouth for a few reasons, but the main one being that this feels like it's being used as a prospecting tool for Flatlogic. And, as the main source of income for Flatlogic will be custom development, it feels like there won't be an incentive to continue developing these extra features, otherwise less people would need to purchase custom development. For me, this is the biggest reason why I am refunding the product.
Finally, I did reach out to Flatlogic support about the issues in the generated applications and the lack of anywhere in the backend to see how many deployments have been used each month. I received an email response saying they'd look into it, but nothing else afterwards.
I have given this two stars as if you project fits directly into the templates they provide, this could be a really good piece of software for you. Especially if you don't mind the lack of customization in the design and the lack of advanced features built in. For developers who build in the set stack for generated projects, I'm torn, I can see ways this could speed development up. But only if the main features fit into their preset template.
On the whole, it is the lack of trust that is leading to me consider a refund at this stage. Trust is vital when purchasing a product at an early stage with the expectation of further development. I think that the emails offering custom development are a real misstep (although I understand the reason behind it) as it erodes that trust very early on. Especially when combined with the other points I've detailed in this review.
First of all, I don't really understand all the hate in here and the negative comments. People think that Flatlogic creates a 100% usable app within 5 minutes and then they are surprised that Flatlogic does not deliver what they think it should. Flatlogic helps you to create a starting point for your app. It saves you a ton of time. I would say it creates a little MVP for you so you don't have to begin from scratch. Then you can push it to Git Hub and do whatever you wish if you have coding skills. it even creates API doc in Swagger. Just to get this thing done takes weeks so just pointing it out how much time you save. You get access to code preview - again an enormous time saved! Basically you have all backend ready including API.
