As a long-time user of various tech products, I've seen many platforms grow and evolve. I recently tried to build a basic CRM with Flatlogic, spending 20 minutes explaining the requirements, including a before and after photo upload capability for a beauty salon. Unfortunately, I found the experience lacking, as I couldn't make modifications on the fly. The button for uploading a photo was there but it was not functional and even if it was it was implemented, it was completely wrong so it would not have been usable even if upload did work.
However, my journey didn't stop there. I tried websim.ai and was able to deploy a functional front end in less than a minute. Everything worked smoothly, but it lacked a backend. This highlighted to me that while Flatlogic offers a comprehensive solution, there are areas where it could learn from its competitors.
Here’s what I found:
Ease of Use: Flatlogic's interface can feel like hitting your head against a wall. Simplifying the process could help users get started more quickly, similar to the seamless front-end deployment I experienced with websim.ai.
Flexibility: The inability to make on-the-fly modifications was a significant drawback. Adding more flexibility and customization options would be beneficial.
Backend Integration: While Flatlogic provides a complete solution with backend integration, ensuring that it’s as robust and user-friendly as the front end is crucial. Drawing inspiration from the efficiency of websim.ai's front-end design could enhance Flatlogic’s overall offering.
Customer Feedback: Despite providing detailed feedback to Flatlogic, I felt that my input was not taken seriously. The response I received was a default reply, which gave the impression that customer feedback is not a priority. It’s essential for Flatlogic to listen to its users and evolve based on their needs. Ignoring valuable customer insights could hinder the platform's growth and improvement.
Being a pioneer in creating full-fledged web applications is commendable, but it's essential to keep evolving based on user feedback. Remember, even industry leaders must continuously innovate to stay relevant.
