Droplr is an all-in-one screenshot and screen recording tool that helps you capture and share your work instantly. With Droplr, you can easily take screenshots of part or all of your screen, or even full webpages. You can then mark up the screenshots with annotations and share them with a link. Droplr also lets you record your screen, with the option to include your webcam video. The recordings are automatically saved as GIFs or HD videos to your Droplr cloud account. From there, you can generate a shareable link with one click to send to colleagues, clients, or anyone else. What makes Droplr stand out is its simplicity and speed. The app runs discreetly in the background, allowing you to capture screenshots and recordings without disrupting your workflow. Everything is automatically uploaded to the cloud and a short link is copied to your clipboard, ready to share anywhere. Droplr is the perfect tool for anyone who needs to frequently capture and share visual content - designers, developers, marketers, customer support, project managers, and more. It's available for Mac, Windows, and as a Chrome extension, so you can use it on all your devices. With bonus features like file uploads and link shortening, Droplr aims to be your go-to productivity app for quickly capturing and sharing work. Bought this to share links with clients and my team internally. The custom domain works fine but the ability to disable "powered by Droplr" has been since removed and there is a giant green button on the upper right of all drop pages that says "Try Droplr". Forgive me, but how does this coexist with "Custom domain & branding" promised in this deal? I'll update this review if it gets fixed.
I want to love droplr. However support is very hard to reach. Have emailed them for stacking codes but its been 3 days and they havent replied. The redemption period is closing soon. My friends and I are close to refunding but still hoping this breaks through because I like their cleaner interface better than Cloudapp’s. Hoping the founder reaches out and answers our queries soon.
Very basic features for video is not working. I created multiple videos and now I have to redo it all in a different app since there no clear solution from their support. My clients can't fast forward to watch specific parts of a video. Also the format of video file is not an easy one to share with people.
Working perfectly, small glithes here and there but overall very well done ! Using it daily
I love the features.
I love the price.
I love getting this for "lifetime."
The chrome extension IS buggy and the desktop app is either buggy and/or NOT intuitive in some ways.
And support seems overwhelmed and they don't seem to have an efficient ticketing system.
I get asked the same question repeatedly even though I have already answered.
I hate to say it (truly I do) but they don't seem to have it together.
I'm not sure if I'll be able to edit this review later but I will if they improve and I can.
It's hard to beat the deal if they fix these things in the long run.
It feels like it is in "beta."
I'm really glad I gave this a go. It does everything that WeTransfer does but includes a lot more – the screenshots, screen recordings and URL shortener features really make this extra special.
My only disappointment is that you can't have folders within folders for organisation. If they improve that one minor issue, it'd be perfect. As it stands though, it's deserving of 4.5/5 stars so I've rounded it up to 5.
I bought 5 but I'm getting a refund. Even though this is supposed to be white label they still have a bright green ad for themselves on every screengrab you do and they refuse to get rid of it. I get maybe doing that on their 'free' accounts, but this is not good on paid accounts. That's just unprofessional and very presumptive. Also I sent in a support request and 6 days later I'm still waiting for a reply. I understand 24hrs - maybe even 48 hrs during a promotion, but 6 days? Sorry, not good enough.
This app doesn't really do anything better than some of the more well-known apps. Dropbox has better file-management, Tinytake has easier to use and very similar screencapture capabilities. WeTransfer has easier to use file share.
The file management system is fine for 20-30 files, but after that it would beceome very unorganised.
Creating boards, again, fine if you have 5-10 boards, but after that it would become unwiedly.
Sharing files through email, there is no intuitive way to do this through the GUI, so you have to copy a link and paste it manually somewhere.
For some reason you can Share files to social media, but nowhere actually useful, like an email, Slack or Microsoft Teams.
There is no way to brand or customise the file-sharing landing page.
Adding annotations to screenshots is buggy, and there's no way to add Comments to files, as far as I could tell.
At the end of the day, Dropl tries to do a lot, ending up doing nothing really well. I hope that the team will focus their effort with feedback from real life users, as I don't see how anyone could use it professionally in its current state.
Droplr offers great value with generous storage for a low price.
I've tried many times in the past to use Cloudapp but always found it very buggy and had a lot of issues with it.
I'm not having those same issues with Droplr and am really enjoying the app!
Sharing file uploads with clients is really handy.
Get it while you can.

I signed up with them a few years ago, but I switched to CloudApp because they were better.
But with this deal definitely will not miss this opportunity.
There are still cons. I would like them to hear users feedback and make possible improvements to their service.
I hope to see the benefit of buying this deal in the coming weeks or to see a clear plan for their future goals. (Public Roadmap). or give us the option to vote for best.
Cons:
- The biggest one is that there is no option to put several folders inside each other. (Nested folder). If they solve this problem, then it will be a very great job.
5 TB or more without sub-folders is almost useless. Especially for those with unlimited storage (5 code stacked people).
- Branding everywhere. Even on a page with a password protected. We want our logo and our name to show when visitor or client need to insert the password.
- Problems with blocking the short link (d.pr) from some service providers and URLs scan website.
- No Indicator or any information for total Storage and free left storage. Photos, Music, Videos, and others type used info.
- There is no option to copy a direct link to the file. This is a very important option for many use case (CloudApp have this important option). They could put a limit for public bandwidth if they were afraid to abuse this feature. In CloudApp, I simply drag the file to the small Icon. Then copy the direct link to my client then he just clicks on the short link (started downloading the file!).
- The Bandwidth limit was not clear from the start, and there was a conflict in the responses from their team in Questions Tap.
- We are close to the end of the deal, and until today they have not resolved the problem related to the activation of several codes!
- The iOS app needs to be improved with more options, I want to have access to a folder (Board) and see if the client has uploaded new files inside it or not. Or browse my drips. Copy drips link. Share it with other apps. ETC. (No Android app) But do not be sad because the iOS application is almost useless -for now-.
- No 1080p for Screencast, Only 720p. They can put a time limit for 1080p and make 720p for unlimited. Give us the option even for less than 3-5 min record for 1080p. Or unlimited 1080p for only saving on our disks. Then we can upload the file if you have a problem with that as you said on the webinar.
- Paste the image direct to email body after uploading, not the link URL (Like CloudApp does).
- Favicon shows Droplr logo instead of ours. Even when we have Gravatar icon nothing changes.
- Self-destruction (custom time) doesn't work.

I got 1 code, signed up tinkered around with Droplr, then felt I wasn't sure what to do with it. The space and bandwidth are nice to have, videos and screencasts- we don't do too many of those for our podcasts(Maybe we should). Then I thought, why not set up one folder per episode- put all the media files together, and share it with the production team? Seems to work. But with one folder per episode, the number of folders could bloat up very quickly.
Finally, I read some of the reviews- to see what do other Sumo-lings use it for? And I'm glad I did.
Now I've got a couple of ideas that I will toy around with and decided not to cancel. Not to mention - since Droplr is great way to share screenshots (and we have over a thousand of them collected over the years - voila! )
The positives so far:
Fast, responsive. Auto shortlinks for sharing are great (pCloud, are you listening?)
The Cons: Would have loved a feature to embed into a webpage or app. Subfolders needed.
Use Droplr daily to capture screenshots and file and love it with some caveats.
I didn't go beyond 1 code/ 5TB because:
- Inability to create subfolders means that creating any kind of structured filing system is not possible. And endless one level folders just become annoying. If DRoplr wants to really compete as a cloud storage option they need to up their game with this.
- lack of support and some odd comments/ feedback here means that I wouldn't want to upload really valuable personal/ business content such as photo libraries etc.
But as a goto tool for general day-to-day work, it's great and I use it all the time now.
