Webstudio deploys sites to Cloudflare Workers, a global network of servers that delivers websites with exceptional performance, whether they are static or render dynamic data from any API or database.
Webstudio's Local Styles allow users to style without creating classes or naming anything, and Design Tokens help keep work in sync with the design system.
Webstudio aims to be fully GDPR compliant, does not track users, has completely anonymized analytics, and hosts data within Europe.
Webstudio allows users to gain control over project access and easily manage collaborators by generating personal links.
Webstudio automatically renders responsive WebP images for maximum site speed and no quality loss.
Been having a wonderful time building out websites and a simple in-house app on Webflow.
I purchase webstudio lifetime tier. This is so fastest growing product I saw in recent. Support team is supper active. Dev team is more faster. I love webstudio.
Well, I have the feeling that the solution is still not ready (hope it's under development!).
I lost hours of work as many changes were suddenly lost after a page refresh.
Publishing only gets me a white page.
RadixUi components are not complete.
Not sure if I will move on here...
I am super impressed. The interface is perfect for a novice like me.
I have a previous appsumo deal for low/no-code static websites. Have been searching for a webapp no-code option for some time now.
Here it is! WebStudio to easily configure front end, ActivePieces to handle CRUD, and AiTable.ai for a database? What an absolute deal!
I give 5 stars because I think the tool is well thought out, although in its early stages, but it has very good premises.
On the flip side, I would like to see more emphasis on the migration aspect from tools already in use such as Webflow and Framer, and I am unfortunately not seeing developments in this yet.
Generally those who are looking for a product like Webstudio have already approached and are using Webflow or Framer or Bubble, this makes it really difficult in production transition to Webstudio for a point:
- A Web site is the showcase site, the most important entry point, and if I have to migrate the whole project, say from Webflow to Webstudio (a project in beta with few guarantees at the moment), I propably won't do it.
And that's a shame, because I think with an automated migration tool , people would be more willing to support you and really test the product.
I hope the team can reason about this aspect,
Thank you in the meantime, I really like Webstudio and I think it is the only product to date passed on AppSumo that has potential to counter other big players.
My first impression is overwhelmingly positive.
What I'm particularly excited about:
The intuitive interface for tailoring every aspect of the platform is surprisingly accessible, provided you have a basic grasp of CSS fundamentals.
The capability to populate element text from an external source, such as a headless CMS or database, is nothing short of remarkable.
The infectious enthusiasm of the development team and founder is reassuring.
The hosting on CloudFlare Edge is a major selling point, making it an unbeatable value.
In my opinion, equivalent sites will consistently outperform WordPress sites in terms of speed due to the significant overhead associated with the latter.
It's worth noting that I don't think this platform is ideal for a beginner web developer. While it's user-friendly, you'll need a solid understanding of web terminology and structure to fully leverage its capabilities.
I'm writing this review before having thoroughly run the builder through its paces because the deal is about to go away.
I got T4 because I intend to build all my future client landing pages with this.
I'm also going to rebuild my own site on it (from WordPress).
My initial impression is that I'm highly impressed.
What I think is great:
* The UI for fully customizing every element is very easy, assuming you have a basic understanding of CSS.
* The flexibility of populating element text from an external source (such as a headless CMS/database) is amazing.
* The enthusiasm of the dev team and founder is comforting.
* The hosting on CloudFlare Edge makes it an absolutely killer deal.
Right behind the reported speed of the sites, this was my main deciding factor.
* I strongly believe equivalent sites will ALWAYS outperform (in speed) WordPress sites because of how much overhead WP carries.
I will say that I don't think this is ideal for a beginner web developer. It's super easy but you need to have a pretty good understanding of web terminology and structure to take advantage of it.
Webstudio is a gem. Forget webflow!
Not a lot of template but their visual way to build websites allows for unlimited and top notch creativity. The CMS should be release soon, the sky will be the limit!
One of the best I have used. It is very nice. real no code.
1. different integrations and easy-to-use options.
2. Also option to host our own, using github and instructions.
3. hosted sites are very fast irrespective of location.
4. air table integration was such an easy breeze, first one for me to get impressed and look at this solution.
wish it had
1. more templates
2. HTML bootstrap website import option
There are many reasons why Webstudio is now my production web builder of choice. Here are a few:
1. Open-source: Development is very transparent on Github and the very active Discord forum. Also, you can export to self-host (e.g., on Vercel and Netlify), which provides future-proofing.
2. Experienced team: Webstudio is being built on a guiding vision based on a plan to stay profitable and deep experience with web dev and visual tools. For example, read:

3. Rapid, well-reasoned development: Wow do they deliver fast. Check out the activity on the Github page (https://github.com/webstudio-is/webstudio/activity).
4. Hosting included on Cloudfare: It's fast. No dealing with maintenance headaches like security, backups, updates, etc.
5. Integrate with any CMS: AiTable, Airtable, Notion, Strapi, Google Sheets, etc. You can already do this with data bindings. Dynamic page generation and other features are coming soon.

Tested at Tier 1, then upgraded to Tier 4.

We are a web design studio and we're looking for the latest tech and tools and this is certainly something to watch. The way it works is great and very similar to the page builders however it does not come with all the backend baggage. The templates are very few but I imagine they will grow as the technology matures. I have run a speed test directly on the template and it got 97 on mobile and 100 on desktop.
The idea of using external databases to introduce dynamic elements using Supabase, Google Sheets and others is fantastic and it will allow my clients to easily update the content through a familiar interface.
The desktop app is quick and responsive and the design is nice, I think the UI can be improved through the use of the right click for additional options and also an indictor of where the element will be dropped on the page would be good.
I have not mastered it yet but I don't think it will take too long! I am very much looking forward to seeing it grow as the opensource and self hosting option is a game changer for mass adoption and customizations from the community. It pulls the best ideas from the competition and puts them together very nicely.
