Website indexing on autopilot
This app has stopped working, and no one responds to support questions. I have to manually submit my URLs to Google for indexing. I wish I could get a refund, but conveniently, the app stopped working right outside of my refund window. I feel robbed.
Looking at the questions and the reviews, it looks like the last Google indexing update did indeed cause their indexing to stop.
I was in denial for a while, I really wanted it to work but it didn't. The product is actually really awesome, if they rehashed it as an indexing tracker (without the indexing because the API no longer works) it would be a solid product and I'd buy again because it was awesome in that function even whent he indexing didn't work.
Unfortunately their lack of replies make me think they gave up.
It doesn't scan the sitemap automatically as it claims. My sitemap is scanned 3 days ago. Every time I need to log in to Warpindex, manually navigate and click the
"site > bulk-index > select-sitemap > submit button", which is ridiculous.
The only thing it should do is "automatically scan the sitemap and submit it to Google", and IT"S NOT WORKING.
I wonder what the tagline is about: "Automate website indexing on Google to ensure....."
At first glance could not decide which is better, so I bought Warp index and URL monitor one after another.
WarpIndex did a fast and good job with a small site (less than 100 pages), but when started working on a site with more than 350 pages I noticed no improvement at all.
Job started around 24th September and immediately got 1 more page indexed.
Now, after 13 days, the situation is not only the same (even if Warp Index suggest to wait only few days), but reported number of pages indexed by Google is now LESS than before starting job with WarpIndex.
Furthermore, support is nonexistent, never got a reply from them...
Thanks
I have never written a bad review on any of the many products I've purchased here. I keep getting error messages and used the support chatbot to help since WarpIndex has yet to be able to do any indexing . It said it couldn't help me but would get someone else to help. That was 7 days ago. Two days ago I sent a support email and still haven't heard back. I see others have had the same non-response from support.
After Zachary47's review below I'm also thinking of refunding. I checked my site using Google's Search Console and with a real estate website with thousands of listings that show up on every other site that uses IDX, I'm happy that many pages are indexed (including some listings), especially my blog posts, which are really the only unique content on the website.
"I was initially frustrated because none of my site's pages were indexed. However, thanks to Warpindex, my pages are now indexed, and my site has gained significant visibility. I'm thrilled with Warpindex and highly recommend it to anyone aiming to boost their website traffic.
Short version: I was hopeful that this product would do what it says. Well, it won't even connect to my website, and WarpIndex Support doesn't reply; I gave up after waiting an hour. Now, I'm getting a refund.
My story: At first, installing it with full access to my Google account made me a little uneasy, but... Sure, okay. But then, when WarpIndex wouldn't connect to my site - and after following every direction they provided - I saw repeated Error messages on their screen. Nothing worked.
I used their Support Chat to ask for help, and their 'bot told me they'd connect me with a member of their team. I waited an hour (and have the screenshots to prove it) and NO one replied. (Even the timer on their screen quit working after an hour.)
What a waste of time. I'm getting a refund. Massively disappointed.
Google's Indexing API has very clear usage rules:
"The Indexing API can only be used to crawl pages with either JobPosting or BroadcastEvent embedded in a VideoObject."
Source: https://developers.google.com/search/apis/indexing-api/v3/quickstart
To use Warpindex, you need to add the service as an owner to your Google Search Console account. Warpindex then uses the Indexing API in a prohibited manner:
"Warpindex {...] works by using our own web crawlers and certain Google tools like the Search Console and Indexing API.
[...]
Now, Google recommends using the Indexing API mainly for specific types of content like job postings or events, but it can handle other pages too, as long as there aren't any technical SEO issues. We've been using it for a while now without any problems." Source: https://help.warpindex.com/en/articles/21-how-does-warpindex-work-is-this-magic
Warpindex is lying to users. Google EXPLICITLY PROHIBITS using the Indexing API for any purpose except indexing the two types of listings shared above.
Multiple users have asked Shirin, the founder, to explain this contradiction in the Questions section. She has ignored these questions for days and cannot give a satisfactory answer. The Indexing API is not meant to be used the way Warpindex uses it.
I bought Tier 5 and will be refunding my purchase as soon as I submit this review. Use this tool at your own risk.
It doesn't index properly, the pages are indexed and it doesn't reindex, and the support is the worst I've ever seen, they don't respond, they don't give you any idea of what's going on.
If you want to waste your money, buy this product.
Setting up the software was pretty simple, perhaps less than 15 minutes. Initially, the indexing process was slow. I managed to get only seven pages indexed in the first few days. However, after about a week, I noticed a discrepancy: while the software still showed only seven or eight pages indexed, Google Analytics indicated that all pages of the website had been indexed. It seems there can be a delay, but checking Google Search Console showed steady progress. After a couple of weeks, all pages were indexed, and I observed that any new pages I added were indexed shortly thereafter.
Regarding customer support, I’ve seen some complaints about their responsiveness. When I reached out about the initial indexing issues, they replied within a few days. While their response time isn’t the fastest, my experience has been positive, and I appreciate their support. Overall, I’m satisfied with Warpindex.
