The all-in-one work management platform
Upbase feels like it's headed in the right direction but it still lacks a few key features to make this a truly powerful tool.
1. No ability to mass upload a csv file using card custom fields. T#311o has this feature and it makes life sooooo much easier.
2. No PUT API capability to update custom card fields. I need to be able to update cards automatically when a data base or spreadsheet with coinciding ID is updated.
3. No task template capability. This has been brought up many times in questions and reviews since early last year. I would think assistant AI coders could help speed up the feature process.
Everything else so far I love about Upbase. My only concern is I'm not sure how quickly they can iterate and constantly push updates.
I'm happy to change my review if these items are published.
I consider Upbase to be one of my best LTD purchases ever. I love its variety of features and simplicity. I have tried several PM tools, but Upbase is the only one I have managed to stick with. I also like that features are rolled out consistently. I highly recommend Upbase and hope it becomes a leading product in the PM space! 5+ Tacos from me!
Finally started using Upbase for PM for my website design biz. They just added a feature that is a stand out for me. you can take any task form any list/board etc and click the spotlight button, this keeps it where it is, AND duplicates it onto a central board (that you can customize with your own columns/headings). That way the tasks you need to focus on today or this week don't get lost in the shuffle, or you don't get overwhelmed with calendar pings.
-Once you are on the spotlight board you can move the tasks from column to column (upcoming, urgent, inbox (i.e. not yet , but soon) - or to the top or bottom/anywhere Row within a column... without affecting the original location/list/task.
-However the task is still linked, so if you edit the task in either Spotlight OR on the Original list/card, (add a tag, complete the task, change the name, or reassign it), those actions are also reflected on the original task card/list.
This is a game changer for me - I had actually created a list called Today or this week, and manually added tasks to it - which was ok, but then they added spotlight - and wit works really well!
I am quite happy with this tool. I have been using it for quite a while now and it is definitely value for money. There is one or two things I do not have from the app I used to pay a monthly fee for, yet the tiny inconvenience is negligible when you consider I no longer have to pay a monthly cost...very cost efficient for sure and now I have my son with his business on it also and he is loving it too...VERY HAPPY!
I'm using Upbase for quite a while now and it's worth every penny! Especially for smaller teams. It offers a great overview over all projects and offers great functionalities.
I love Upbase. I appreciate its focus on simplicity and clean UI. Even as they continuously add new features, they manage to maintain a simple and uncluttered user interface.
Of all the project management software I have tried, this is the one that works best for me; it has become my second brain. All the projects are organized in what is called "lists" in Upbase, and each contains tasks (with kanban and list views), docs, files, calendar, and chat. The organization is really easy and efficient. A "list" can represent anything you want, as they can also be easily organized by folders on the left panel: it can be a client, a specific project for a client, or even a part of a project if the project is large. I appreciate how "lists" themselves are so adaptable that they can be used for various purposes.
I also admire their daily and weekly schedule; I like being able to switch easily between different views. In the daily view, I can quickly see which tasks are overdue so I don't miss anything.
As I've mentioned a couple of times: I love Upbase!
I am very happy with this tool. There is only one element missing. AI interaction. With all the competition this is the one thing that holds me back from using it exclusively. Hopefully they add this component soon.
It has potential but it's extremely glitchy for me. Stuff won't save so I have to keep adding it or tasks get duplicated randomly. If you delete something it hangs there unless you refresh the page. You can't add images inside of docs which is frustrating when trying to create training docs for the team. I'm kicking myself for missing the refund date on this. Don't think I'll be using it moving forward unless it's more stable and they add more features.
I am getting great value and help from Upbase. It seems to hit that sweet spot between ease-of-use on the one hand and flexibility on the other.
I especially love that you can embed google files eg sheets. I find Google Drive really hard to navigate and manage, and Upbase solves this perfectly.
Great job!
It has been two months since we started using Upbase and we absolutely love it! I would like to commend Tony and his team for building such a fantastic platform. The user interface is very user-friendly, yet it is packed with powerful features.
The team has been constantly making improvements on a weekly basis, and they have been very transparent with their RoadMap. In my opinion, they deserve a five-star rating! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I highly recommend Upbase as an AI-powered project management tool. 🚀👏
I've had this for almost 2 months now and I just love the simplicity of this software.
I am a solo freelancer managing a few clients and Upbase made it easy for me to communicate with my clients on project status, upload their assets, and directly chat with them vs. having to use another platform to chat.
Definitely worth the purchase. 5 tacos
I need to review this tool, it deserves that. Upbase is simple to work with, a simple UX, but do not let that fool you, as there is so much under the hood. We use this with 3 VA´s, and they love it too, in comparison to Asana, Trello, etc. It has everything from docs, files, Lists, Kanban, Calender, Tags, team chat :) Keep on updating, we love it!
My UX tip for upbase: Look at the Left side navigation menu at Shopify. They use very nice icons (very small) where you are in your navigation. At this moment with upbase, the navigation topics below Schedule and My Tasks are not quite clear to me. Lists, Filters, Tags, etc. Make them more "recognizable" like the first 2 navigation points.
