Create beautiful social media graphics on the fly.

I've used Canva for my designs previously, but Stencil does it all nearly as well as Canva, plus it has a great Wordpress plugin which saves by allowing me to add new designs without leaving the WP dashboard. Great!
I like all those icons and background that are available by default. Previously I had to search for icons in the internet, now there's a huge pack included in Stencil. Another time-gaining feature.
It's worth investing in tools that save you time. That's precious!

I'm really surprised by the quality of the tool and the average rating there.
The main advantage of Stencil is their negotiation with icon providers, and this is the good part

but ...
the search of icon is not really finding stuff. I found icons en 5 seconds on the source site and hours on stencil (I don't talk about icon not licensed). We need at least :
- a documentation of the search terms : what are the prefix (it seems it help to refine the source), the keyword (sometimes link with collection?)
- some help to refine the search (eg. show the keyword of an icon and make it clickable, some filters)

and since the tool is damn slow (only in Europe ?), it is killing the product

This is probably only the 3rd app I've bought that I legit referred on to my friends - it's that good. I used to have to go to several different tools to get all the pieces together to make a quick graphic for blogs, social cards, ads, etc. But with Stencil as the base of ops, I only have to use other apps for very limited reasons. From photos and the ability to quickly grab just about any font - I've already saved hours. The WP plugin is also a nice bonus since you can stencil right in the blog post.

Well worth my hard-earned cash...
bought this mainly because of the extensive and easy use of its WordPress integration.

Because of the way it works and how it's integrated I don't think I'll need to contact support unless
(which is a huge blessing for me)
(1) something major shifts in the WordPress core
(2) Because in a lot of products, support can take a long time to respond and I always seem to get stuck on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday when I've just come up with an idea but for some reason, the product won't do what I want.

The fact that it works in your browser (Chrome/Firefox) via a short Right Click submenu is a great bonus.

What can I say, its really simple but powerful when you want to get designed images into WordPress really quickly to set the mood/tone of a Post or combine with uploaded images to "upgrade" the WordPress Media Library content.

Recently I have noticed a lot of products boast a lot of functionality and features, but when you actually want to get some work done to further your goal towards completion they fail at the first hurdle
i.e Do 1 one thing really well

I highly recommend this product as a No-Brainer purchase.

One of My Use Cases:
I need to put together a Storybook and I use WordPress to build the application I want to use to create books.
I then need to write the content and add the images that need to go with them.
However, a lot of the time I create the images first and if it takes too long, or the workflow is cumbersome it breaks the flow - so being able to knock them out in quick succession is perfect and as they say, solves the "Pain" point.

Don't delay buy this product today :-)

I am happy that I bought this. I have many graphic design tools and was hesitating to buy this. After reviewing the reviews here and from other sources, I decided. Now after started using it, I find it very useful, time saving and very specific.

I have 2 requests :
1. Background removal is a must-have to save some time for those who like to create thumbnails, ads etc. Now have to depend on other tools, upload and used with stencil
2. Publer integration would be nice to have. (I think 'Publer' is another 'Stencil' in Social media scheduling) and is definitely going to stay.

With zero design genes, Stencil makes it easy to create basic blog post images and social media images. Unlike other widely-used apps like Canva, Stencil is intuitive. You can upload your own images, add text, save them, resize for social media, and more. I didn't need to review any training. I am a raving fan of Stencil, if you have limited to zero design skills (like me) you'll be glad you bought this app. Thanks a bunch Stencil for your ease of use!

I haven't used this in earnest yet, I'm still developing the business that I intend to use it with. But still, I'm impressed with what I see so far.
Stencil is by far the best and most convenient software I've experienced to date to create blog featured images and images for social media sharing. I'm sure it can do more, but these are the main things I was looking for, and it handles them well.
It's easy to switch to a different canvas size (HD 1920x1080, Instagram Story 1080x1920, Facebook Cover 820x360, custom size, whatever) and then adjust your text and graphics to suit that format.
I love that is has both a web app and a great WordPress plugin — I can work in whichever is most convenient at the time. And the Chrome app is icing on the cake — I imagine this will be helpful to save valuable time in my future workflow.

I use Stencil every day - it's my most used media creator - and it's because it's super quick and easy. One of my best purchases here.

I tried to have different colors in some text but couldn’t figure it out. Support told me that the only way to do this is by creating separate text boxes for each color. That’s easy enough to do, but quite a hassle if trying to highlight one word in a sentence and something that every similar app I’ve ever used, from the Mac Preview app to Canva ( it to mention more advanced tools), can do.

I already had a solution for my social media posts. I liked it. It got the job done. But Stencil caught my eye.
Quotes, images and editing all in one place would save me time...
And a browser extension! No more cutting and pasting over and over again!

So, now I have a new solution. It's faster. It's easier. It's brings together all the steps that used to be outside my app. I have used several editors to produce my images, this one has a ton of thoughtful features that makes me think they are familiar with the process. Even my logo persists from image to image, no more having to add it to each new image. It's even sized like I left it.

I have been a Stencil paid user for years and have always been pleased with their templates, image selection and ease-of-use. I was so glad to see it offered on Appsumo as an LTD. I always kicked myself for missing out on the initial Stencil LTD, so when this appeared, I picked up a code right away.

Stencil support is also very responsive as they were able to convert my VIP account (annual renewal) to the Appsumoi LTD unlimited plan. I know many of us to have several other graphics tools we purchased from Appsumo, but this is seriously one of the best options to come through here. Every platform has their own set of templates and Stencil has one of the largest. I have confidence in the sustainability of this company and so happy that they will be part of my lifetime graphics design toolkit.
