Sessions was a clear 5 taco tool and one of the best tools I ever bought on Sumo (and in general!).

As many others have stated before, from this summer onwards, things started going downwhill as the founders ran out of cash.
Which resulted in the tool becoming more buggy by the day and support becoming non existant - the founders tried to be transparent about this at first (see their Youtube channel for this, where the founder explained how he had to downsize the team from 30+ to below 20 employees etc.), but then all communication stopped. Which makes people angry (obviously).
Sumo intervened and offered money back, which is fair and a great move, so hats off for that!

But, what I (and apparently many others) would really prefer is to KEEP this tool that actually is so great and unique at what it does!

It fills a clear gap in the market by combining scheduling functionality with a very customizable and modern call interface that is 10x better than Zoom etc. (creating agendas for different call purposes, automatically transcribing etc.).
This is why many people LOVED Sessions.
And this is why I for example do not use my refund option (which I do appreciate though), as I still have tiny hopes in me that this tool may survive and comeback - it was so good that I am willing to risk the money for that option.

Long story short:
I am sure many people here, who loved Sessions, appreciate the option to refund, but would actually prefer to KEEP this amazing tool!

So, please Sumo Team, consider buying this gem and adding it to the SumoOriginals stack - it would 100% be a worthwile addition!

Or, if this is not financially viable, please do at least notice the clear demand for a tool like this and fulfill this wish of so many Sumolings.

I had purchased Sessions with max tier, because it looked very promising, and in the first time, there was a lot of development. It seemed to be a really good solution and worked well in the first months after purchase. But then I was very disappointed when I realized that Sessions had stopped working and was not developed further, because Sessions Team run out of money.
I reached out to Appsumo and my Sessions purchase was 100% refunded with Appsumo Credits. Thank you, Appsumo, for this very acceptable solution!

Loved the original product. Unfortunately things went downhill this summer. Shit happens, but now the people behind Sessions continue to take money while stopping transparent communication, the shit will hit the fan.

I thank Appsumo for the option to get part of the money back through them. I will not ask for it because for me it's in the category of "you win some, you lose some". At least Appsumo is fair and honest in this.

Yes it would be great if Appsumo could take over Sessions and make it into a SAAS of their own but that does not seem likely. But maybe they can find a new reliable (!) SAAS that offers something similar? Crossing fingers...

I loved Sessions. In the past I would give Sessions 6/5 Taccos. The software is good, the communication is bad. I bought a year plan for my company for $1300. The money is gone and that's sad. Yes, Sessions said that they have payment issues and lack of finance. But there are just disappeared. No information, no warning. They are just gone. That's not professional. I definitely would use Sessions again, but the strategy from the founder wasn't well. For me, it feels like this: Session ran out of money and the founder don't give a f*ck about all the customers he left behind, who paid and cant use the product anymore. Hope for a Solution.

Im glad I only did a tier 2 investment.
I understand buying tools on Appsumo is a gamble and sometimes companies disappear. But stealing our money to start new ventures is unacceptable.
Since this is my second encounter when this has happened I rarely buy anything on Appsumo anymore and if I do and it’s not up to standard I immediately refund instead of giving something a chance like I used to do. Shame but Appsumo need to vet companies better, refund us who has been scammed and change their terms for me to ever trust them again.

I have been using session for the past year and half. It has been a great experience until recently.

Great app but recently since they have run out of runway(cash) it has been sporadic and unstable.

I hope Sessions will give us the option to download our attendance and video recordings as I think it's curtains for them.

Sessions had a promising future. So I max tiered. It has become heavily integrated into our daily operations for the last 11 months.

Early warning signs of the eventual failure were declining support (they completely stopped responding to messages early this year as the bugs continued to grow). Over-promised and under-delivered features.

Most disappointing, however, has been their allocation of funds. This team took their revenue from the AppSumo campaign and funneled it into another project (AR2R). That's probably why development stopped 6 months ago.

The discontinuation of Sessions is going to be majorly disruptive and makes me reconsider the quality of the other products on here too.

AppSumo should have bought this software and converted it into an original.

The App stopped working for us. We all use Mac and used to uise Sessions for Team meetings and HR. Now its impossible to load a session. Which sucks.

I have been using Sessions since November 2023, while I know it's not perfect, I wanted to give myself some time, and the Sessions company a year worth of usage before giving a fair review. Honestly, throughout the year since November 2023, it was alright, there's a lot of places that needs fixing, but it was good in overall. However though, ever starting September 2024, there's just been LOADSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS of bugs, like LOADS. The meeting room doesn't load. Calendars doesn't sync. The booking (dashboard page for meetings) does not load my today's meeting, let alone my weekly and monthly. It takes MULTIPLE refresh, clearing cookies, and hard refreshes just to get it to work once. I've tried it on every single browser I can think of, Google, Edge, Firefox, Brave, and none of it works normally. I've submitted MULTIPLE support tickets, and even MULTIPLE emails to the support team, and no one bother's to reply or respond at all. I am just left here hanging and no one cares. Like seriously Sessions, what happened recently? My experience is so horrible because I kept missing out meetings and it's so embarrassing when my meeting link constantly doesn't work for my client. Seriously man, ONE taco, I wish I could give zero but I am hoping you'd do something about this. Really disappointed.

Not mad...Just sad

Just found out Sessions app ran out of $ (it happens). It really is a solid app enjoyed the heck out of it. It's the chance you take on LTD that company is able to stay profitable (and not the first one I bought from here to go under). Hope a big money bags picks this back up it was total everything killer, left zoom for them. *sigh*

Quiero compartir con vosotros mi experiencia con Sessions.us, que realmente ha sido agridulce. Desde el principio, la plataforma me cautivó por completo, tanto que dejé de usar Zoom y otras alternativas para montar todos nuestros webinars y eventos exclusivamente en Sessions. La funcionalidad de la plataforma es genial y el equipo de soporte siempre fue encantador y muy atento, lo que hizo que la experiencia fuera aún más especial.

Sin embargo, recientemente todo se ha tornado un poco sombrío. Es triste ver cómo una iniciativa tan prometedora se desvanece no por falta de calidad o potencial, sino por problemas de gestión.

Realmente sigo esperando que se solucione, aunque en la comunidad no parece haber muy buenas expectativas. Incluso desde mi grupo de empresas les hemos ofrecido ayuda, pero sin respuesta
Seguramente , si no sabemos nada en los próximas semanas solicitaré la garantía de AppSumo. Es una verdadera pena y espero que se encuentre alguna solución para que todos los afectados.

Sold numerous LTDs with handful of MRRs and no way to refund after a WHOLE year of NOT being able to use it without any issues! I want my money back, but they were too smart to wait passed their last August LDD to call it a day - and haven't even said so yet.
Zero tacos.
