Most feature rich small business management tool

Amazing tool with a lot of features, super responsive, and looks great. Currently (and I hope it changes) the customer support is a bit slow.

No Bug Fix, No Support, Automatic removal of Fully-Paid Lifetime Accounts!!

We have been using Plutio 3 years ago, we needed to change admin email because of staff changes. Firstly, their new email confirmation logic doesn’t make sense, it sends confirmation email to the old email instead of new email. Then, the confirmation function does NOT work at all. This bug was reported over 9 months, followed by many many emails for support. All had no response. Now we can't use Plutio. By the 12 months of inactivity, their automatic cancellation policy will cancel and delete my Lifetime account!! Very unprofessional software vendor.

No Response / No Support

I have sent more than 3 mails with a gap of 14 days each asking for a simple question to support email address, unfortunately never got any response back. Even copied Leo Bassam / Founder of Plutio. Not sure how to reach out to the support guys or what more i could do here. if support people as well as the founder do not respond back to your emails.

Interesting deal, but...

Hi,
The trial version is so different from the regular version. If you didn't take the White labelling option, it adds too much restriction. I wish I knew from the trial version... Will give it a chance, but for now I'm not convinced.

Pros:
πŸ‘ I like the fact to have an App on desktop
πŸ‘ The UI is really nice
πŸ‘ French translation is good. One of the best I saw on Appsumo apps
πŸ‘ Time management feature is nice and easy to use.
πŸ‘ Signature field in the estimations doc.
πŸ‘ Wiki is interesting even if doesn't give that many options. Should it be like a Sharepoint?

Cons:
πŸ‘Ž White-labelling really restrictive and 9$/month to take it off isn't worth it
πŸ‘Ž To not be able to use our own email address to communicate with clients via Plutio you need the white-labelling. That's non-sense for me. I won't send bills via hello@plutio.com ... How customers can be reassured to send payment this way...
πŸ‘Ž While testing in the trial version (no white-labelling restriction), I couldn't add my mail via IMAP.
πŸ‘Ž Multi-branding non supported in one account. It was one of the main reason I took it. I really liked the fact to be able to manage my different companies on the left side to switch when I want. But after the trial, I saw that each company is on a different subscription... Again a bad surprise.
πŸ‘Ž I asked questions before buying to confirm few points and before the end of the deal in August 12. Still no answer. Is there a customer service? If yes, it's one of the worst I ever saw... I can understand that you sold a lot, but 2 weeks to "potentialy" have an answer is way too long (and I'm not sure to have an answer yet...)
πŸ‘Ž Lack of app integrations.
πŸ‘Ž The finance feature lets you create estimates and bills only. No accounting or reports available. An integration with Waveapps would be great to have the accounting option and to be able to manage the taxes.
πŸ‘Ž In the billing, I can't add many taxes. I'm in Canada and we often have 2 different taxes with different rates. I saw in the setting that I can add as many taxes as I want but : 1- I can't add my tax number and 2- I can't use those fields anywhere in the Invoice or Estimation even with customized field
πŸ‘Ž You can't edit a proposition once created/sent. How do you do when you did a mistake or you need to add/remove points?
πŸ‘Ž File manager, you can't edit files inside Plutio. (not like in Zoho)

Is there a way to delete the "dummy" datas, or the one I integrated during the trial or should I delete them one by one?

For now I don't see many points to make it worth the money except the financial features. But as you only can send via hello@plutio.com without white-labelling, it makes it non usefull for me.
For me it's like a combination of the Free version of: Hubspot+Freedcamp+Waveapps. (Even this free combination gives you more features)

The Appsumo deal is interesting after-all for a lft deal. But I wouldn't have pay for the regular susbscription as for the features offered now.

Clickup alternative

I finally found a business/project management tool that I am happy with. What's better is that my team and clients are as well! The design feels natural, the interface is very intuitive, which has only made it easier to get work done using this tool.

Buggy and No Support

There are numerous problems with this product. It appears to be half-baked or in a state of transition. Features (like adding tasks) do not work as expected. The mobile apps are buggy--especially Android. Topping it off is that their "contact us" doesn't work! So you can't get in touch with them to ask them questions or for help resolving bugs. It looks like maybe a bunch of indies who bit off more than they could chew and aren't interested in chewing anymore. Too bad because this concept has promise.

My daily rock

I purchased a single seat for Plutio a few years back, and started out loving it. I hit a few snafus in the invoicing side of things, and began hopping through different solutions again - SuiteDash (antiquated interface, clients were confused on how to use it), Ora (great for tasks but not for managing my entire business), SmartTask (again, okay for tasks but didn't offer enough features), Honeybook and Dubsado (great for other parts of the business but weak on tasks and harder on the wallet for a solopreneur). I joined a Plutio user group on Facebook and saw the way the team was interacting and taking feedback from its users - it was beautiful. I saw the updates start to roll out so I hopped back in again and started moving everything back to Plutio after a year or two away.

I have now maxed out on codes, expanded my team, and brought the whole team onboard to Plutio. It's powerful, yet intuitive. It's flexible yet reliable. It continues to grow and offer new ways to streamline my business. And I think my wandering biz-management-platform-heart is ready for a long-term commitment.

Here's how I use it:
1) One-off projects (i.e. video development projects): send client proposals, get signed contracts and paid invoices. I use templates to create my project and task boards and can quickly get to work.
2) Ongoing projects (i.e. social media management): much the same, however I don't use the invoicing just yet. The team has done a lot of work to implement subscriptions, but I need a bit more flexibility, so I use Wave apps for that. I may eventually bring those payments into Plutio, but I'm oddly happy with using both platforms, despite always seeking an all-in-one.

I love the task functionality, easy-to-use time tracker and timesheets. I love having my intake forms in Plutio, and I look forward to being able to automate some functions around those soon.

If you need more than just task management, this is the tool to get.

Runs my business

I purchased Plutio originally in 2017 when it first hit AppSumo. I recently purchased two more codes to get white label for life and actually watched the video here on the improvements they made (that I missed, lol) and implemented them.

As of this month, I was finally able to replace Pancake.io (for invoicing & Project mgmt), Nusii (for proposals), Client-Portal.io (for Client interface on projects) and Evernote (for lead management). And while a would like more robust Subscription options (which would have taken off a taco), I had to add one back for the sheer hard work and dedication on the part of the founder and support staff-- and I trust that functionality will come in the future.

So the biggest plusses are the dedication of the founder, Leo Bassam, as well as the VERY active and sharing community on Facebook. Everyone is encouraged to share what they are doing and how they are doing it and many experienced users jump in and help.

Plutio has a public timeline of suggestions and Leo actively solicits for improvements and really listens.

It can be tricky at first--I personally implemented it over time. Take the time to watch the onboarding videos and jump into the community. Most recently, I dedicated several days to setting up my Client Portal solution to replace my current solution, now with project templates that autogenerate from a signed Proposal, saves me a LOT of time.

I've done a lot of LTD's from AppSumo and many weren't worth the $$$. In my opinion this is well worth the investment--because that is what a purchase of Plutio is--an investment.

Buggy and bad support

Plutio had a lot of dangerous bugs for us and the support either didn't respond or a couple of weeks later, which is not feasable when dealing with a lot of money in my opinion.

Impressed, but not completely thrilled

Plutio is very impressive and is a clean and modern app with plenty of features I'll actually use. However, there are some really annoying things I've found just a few days messing around.

Cons:

1) Views on Lists - When I use the View Editor to create a custom view under List view, that view shows up for all projects in the workspace. Let's say I have a graphics project that needs 1 set of custom views, then another copywriting project with a 2nd set of custom views from custom fields, only 1 of those custom views will display on both projects at the same time. There should be an option to set View templates, and also have 1 view assigned per project, so that way I can see the custom fields associated with that specific project in the List View, just like Clickup. I dont want to have to create a new workspace for every view for each type of project, but so far I see no other way around this.

Solution:
- View templates
- 1 View per project

2) Workspace user limits - I accidentally added 2 codes to the wrong workspace, not my user limit is less than desired on that workspace, which was a test one I dont intend to use anyway. There is no interface or instructions for how to transfer the appsumo codes from one workspace to another. If I want to maintain a flexible working setup then this makes it difficult without contacting support.

Pros:

- Templates - Templates for tasks, projects, and everything else is awesome. This will save a lot of time and repetition.

- Tasks - It took me some time getting used the the Task layout, but I like it. It would be nice to be able to have another view where all subtasks, comments, etc. are shown in one block instead of having to switch tabs, since people may skip the subtasks if they dont see them under the task. Or make the task completion dependent on completion of all subtasks.

- Customization - The ability to customize the workspace, menu, user roles, and more is very useful.

Looking forward to Automations. When will this feature be live? I would like to be able to do stuff like Process.st, SmartSheets, and Pipefy to automate workflow, task creation, assignment, approval steps, etc.
