I'm having issues exporting the AI generated designs to Pixso workspace.
It generates only the first page and broken one at that.
Otherwise, would be great to have more templates related to inventories,ERP etc.
Im a boardmix customer and same issues on that platform are on this platform. Also why do they both have a white board, why didnt they just make one tool instead of creating two tools with similar features. For Pixso, not only can you not export to figma but its a tool I no longer even use, tried it a couple of times and found better alternatives. Theres also no data privacy measures for customers on Pixso or boardmix their other tool. Lots of features they say is available doesnt work or you need to pay extra to use.
Hi,
I upgraded from Tier 1 to Tier 3 because Pixso shows real potential as a good alternative, or at least a complementary tool, to Figma. The platform feels promising, and the upgrade makes sense for anyone who wants to explore its full design workflow.
What stands out is the ability to use a URL inside the AI Assistant as part of a design prompt, either to copy elements or draw inspiration.
What feels confusing from a UX perspective is that the chat is separated from the AI-Generated Design feature. It redirects to a new page and requires a Pro subscription for the Advanced model, which seems unnecessary. In my view, this level of access should be included starting from Tier 3 and upwards.
The design results themselves also need improvement. I would like the option to upload images (currently locked in the Pro plan), as well as documents directly in the prompt field. More accurate design output based on instructions would make the feature far more valuable. I also have limited access to the features, like team? The AI Generated Design also have a bug as it will not export the design to my dashboard/ Design Studio. I'm still waiting to hear from support.
Because of these limitations, I’m giving 3 tacos instead of 5.
I also noticed that my AI Assistant only shows 500 points, even though Tier 3 includes 20,000 AI credits. Am I missing something here, or is this another limitation too? In addition, it would be very useful to upload files and images directly in the chat to make the design process more seamless and integrated.
Overall, Pixso is a strong tool with a lot of promise. I’m looking forward to seeing what the team delivers next.
Marcus
I couldn't have imagined anything better. At first, I was skeptical whether such a good offer would still be available a year later. But it is! Now to the facts: I use it as a replacement for Miro and Dreamwork and can say that I haven't found any disadvantages in my work. So I highly recommend it, one of the small, hidden, and good deals on Appsumo. There's a little room for improvement, so 4 out of 5.
Even though you can import .fig files, you can not export them. So, unless ALL of your design work is done in-house, this software is useless. Also, if Pixso ever ceases to exist (Which is happening to A LOT of appsumo LTDs), you will lose all of your designs. If Pixso ever starts exporting .fig, my review would go from a 1 to a 5 rating. The software itself is excellent, but it is like having a car that runs on hydrogen. It is functionally useless in real-world applications without the ability to export in .fig.
I have ordered figma and figjam maockups in the past from freelancers and contractors for web apps, Uis, and mobile paplications. I have been able to successfully import them all into Pixso with 100% original design functionality. This took less than a minute to do. This is a matured product, i am suprised more people havent purchased it. I purchased T3 Boardmix, which was also made by this team, which I use everyday for brainstorming and mindmapping porject ideas / book notes & videos. THis has the whiteboard fetaures of boardmix, in addition to being able to make fantastic web mockups, ios/android app simulatoins, and design killer UX. It's truly a no-brainer. If you have boardmix already, I'd still at least get the introductory tier, as it's simply too good a software to pass up. Is it perfect? No. Is it near-perfect? It really is. They update constantly and take user feedback very seriously. Great team. Active Discord. Telgram was good for awhile, but users kept spamming it with basic questions and treating it like customer support, which it wasnt for. Discord is great and well-organized though.
In short, simply amazing!! Besides having almost all the design features of Figma, I love whiteboarding, project collaboration features, importing files from other tools, among others... I wish the Pixso team the greatest success because it is a great project!!! At least take a look and you will see the potential :)
Normally , I don't write any review OR comment because it is hard to built a good tool and we should appreciate the work, I am using Broadmix and this Pixso as well. And Almost love your products... However when we start the project or file it take time to load, it can be improved little bit which can make a big difference.. May be I am in Australia and you don't have any server around this side of world. if you can do about this. it would be appreciated.. By the way best of luck .. And Keep this alive :) DONT just disappear
I bought this a few minutes ahead of a meeting where I had realised that this type of tool might be really useful for the current scenario. No time to test it, or even learn it before the meeting, so I just flew by the seat of my pants, documenting the scenario we were trying to address, and found this a fantastic simple to use tool that got us to where we needed to get to.
I’ve a number of other uses already in mind for this because of the speed to allows me to create what I’ve tried.
Have I tested every feature? No. Have I found anything confusing, and been unable to fix it, yes, but totally my fault I suspect. Some of the features are really cleverly done, to make a simple end user experience. I’m very happy with my purchase and I look forward to exploring the product further moving forward.
Thanks for coming to AppSumo.
I know this tool is generally cheaper than Figma, but I wouldn't recommend it for the following reasons:
1. It has the most frustrating AppSumo activation setup experience I've ever encountered.
2. There are pixel issues with circles, where strange lines automatically appear around them, making all designs look unappealing.
3. Each time you launch the macOS app, the login box appears every time.
4. It is not possible to export as a Figma file, which makes collaboration with other users difficult.
5. There are some DMS/Proxy issues; when I try to use it over the workplace network, it continuously loads without granting access to the files.
6. I miss the iPad app; currently, you can only work from a browser on your iPad.
7. The overall performance is poor; it seems to move slowly.
This tool is easy to use. And the pricing is fair. I bought because I get similar value as Figma but without the recurring fees.
Pixso is has a near-identical interface to Figma, making transition seamless for designers who are familiar with Figma. While Figma is starting to restrict usage on free plans, our decision to invest early in Pixso's unlimited team projects and file pages looks promising.
