The ai-powered social media management tool
Truth be told, Picmaker doesn't have as many designs as Canvas Premium but I can how it can reach that quite quickly.
For a lifetime deal rather than a monthly subscription it is a no-brainer though.
The AI randomizer is surprisingly good. If there is more than one picture in the design it tends to randomize both pictures to the same. I believe they will be fixing that soon though. If in the future it also helps out with the text, it would be fantastic.
I've had Picmaker for a couple of months now but have not been able to use it. I contacted Picmaker support a month ago and again 2 weeks ago. Here is there response;
"Facebook API has made some updates, so there has been an issue with connecting the pages.
This has been updated as we await Facebook's approval; once that is completed, you can continue to connect your pages.
I will let you know once everything is set along with the twitter availability."
I have not heard anything the Picmaker support team in over 2 weeks and have not been able to connect to my social media accounts since I purchased Picmaker over 2 months ago. When I look at other reviews it becomes apparent that this has been a problem for a few months now. I'm not sure how you can charge money for an app that doesn't do what it'd designed for. It makes me question whether this is a legitimate business. I gave Picmaker a good try and had high hopes for it but ultimately I will be reaching out to AppSumo for a refund. I guess I'll be keeping my SocialBee account.
I see a lot of reviews complaining about social media planner or lack of some social media platform. I absolutely love this product. I don't use the planner and its new company so they are still adding features. I spoke with the team several times and they offered a demo, fixed an issue and also took any feedback for improvements which is a good sign to me. I use this product mostly for social media sizes. it's much easier than Canva. Yes Canva has more templates and some other stuff. I'll give an example, I need a YouTube thumbnail. it has exact size, easy upload, auto background sizer then add text and you can change your font and color right sides with click of button, its super cool feature just for that rather than going into the menu and doing it from there. I also used it for other logo covers and social media sizes. So if you want product for easy sizing of alot of social media demension then this is great for it. it beats most of the others, even has more options then Canva. I also used the instagram post etc. I think I counted some 80 various social media sizes, it originally started with 50, they keep adding. So to me this is very valuable as a time saver, I can make things such as this in matter of minutes, even Canva sometimes takes longer. I believe this is their strong part of the software and look forward to them improving on this feature, I'm sure they will fix whatever other issues they are having since they are super responsive team.
As others say, there is currently no Facebook and Instagram integration. This is an app killer. This has great potential with an excellent scheduler and on the fly post resizing. Looks like they are using the Canva API but lack the range of graphics. Also templates in ecommerce are sorely lacking . This could be a fabulous industry leading app but could also easily be a candle in the wind too. Come on guys improve it asap. Sort out Facebook. Add more tempaltes and graphics. Allow text only posts too.
I watched this program for a few weeks and eventually purchased it. I wanted to like this program. But after a week and a few emails without Instagram working, I decided to go a different direction. It was slow at times. Maybe it is unfair to compare it to Canva, but that is what I did, and in the end, I decided not to stick around. I wanted to use the scheduling features, but they never got off the ground. If Instagram was working, I think I would have liked it.
is Canva version 2018.
Unpleasant to use like Canva.
And sometimes very slow.
5 to 10 second load times for each page. Now, I can't even log in to my account due to some errors. As others have mentioned, Instagram and Facebook are still not connected.
At first it worked very good, now for weeks it isn't working to connect FB and instagram. These are our main channels so the software is pretty useless for us at this point. They say its problem at Meta but while this might be true not sure why it would takes week to fix since other social media schedule software is working with these platforms.
The blurb to promote this software includes that YouTube is a part of the scheduling system. And yet when I logged in it stated "coming soon" (including X, previously Twitter). I can tell nothing has happened in 3 years (since 2021). So when are you incorporating twitter (X) and Youtube?. Picmaker is advertised, including these social media platforms. I was disappointed that this was not true once in the system. And that Youtube and twitter (X) are coming... How many years has that been implied? Its time to include all social media platforms as the advertising suggests..( no indication on the front end it was "coming soon")
The app works as promised. There are no issues connecting with social media platforms, and the scheduler functions well. Look forward to seeing more product improvements in the future.
Picmaker is a strong alternative to Canva that offers robust features, especially for those seeking premium design templates, texts, icons, images, and fonts. Its user-friendly interface simplifies the creative process, while the sticker feature and background removal tools add a professional touch. The AI-driven design suggestions, coupled with an extensive library of templates, images, fonts, and graphics, make it a go-to for unique and eye-catching designs. Whether you're a beginner or a pro, Picmaker offers a seamless design experience.
A product that needs to be in every social butterfly's toolbox.
It show's great promise and with it 's planned scheduling support for more platforms I can see it as a must have for social media content creators.
