I like it. First testing and things have been good. Well built, clean and advanced features, the background removal works excellent. Currently on T2, but thinking to go to T3 as have enjoyed using the software so far. The platform feels nice, good user menu and layout placement etc - give it a try.

This tool is well-built. The CDN is really fast, and it's great to see that it is being used by big organizations like Udaan (I see the logo on the homepage).

I had a few questions and feature requests regarding using the PerceptPixel API with Google Sheet, and the support team was helpful enough to provide me a solution in three days.

Unfortunately, the deal structure isn't as good as it could be. Tier-1 is no better than the free plans (except it offers custom domains, but that makes no sense with just 5GB of bandwidth). Only Tier-3 makes a bit of sense for now. I highly recommend that AppSumo and PerceptPixel rethink the deal plan and hopefully offer more bandwidth in each plan. This might be the reason I don't see this tool being discussed much in LTD communities.

I also have a feature request for the team.

Free tools like https://statically.io/ automatically convert website screenshot to images just by using their URLs. Please bring this feature so that we can automatically take screenshots of thousands of websites in bulk and serve them using PerceptPixel storage and CDN. This will help in creating blog thumbnails much faster in bulk where we mostly need the screenshot of websites as the featured image or thumbnail.

Also, please add more image transformation features like adding a watermark or logo or any specific text on each image dynamically. Later, even advanced features like adding blog titles, dates, etc., dynamically on images. You may want to check tools like https://robolly.com/ for inspiration.

I hope that these features do align with the future of PerceptPixel and I look forward to seeing them in the tool soon.

The limits on LTD Tier 1 can be a bit low, but the subsciption pricing on their website is competitive.

💡 I wish the usage monitoring can show the usage in MB's instead of GB's. So we that can better guage if we would need to upgrade our LTD plan (or subscription) for future use.

💡 Also, it would be great if the usage monitoring report can show us which images are using-up the bandwith. This way, we can prepare and adjust as needed.

Overall, this is already impressive considering its early stage and I hope for exciting developments ahead! 🚀

2) I was also going to suggest a way to mark files or whole folders as private and have them only be accessible using some kind of token. but looks like they might already coming soon based on the docs (Signed URLs)?

This product caught my attention for its simplicity and potential, especially for those of us looking to integrate it with platforms like Shopify for external storage. Its straightforward approach, highlighted by the easy-to-navigate URLs, makes it a user-friendly option right from the start.

That said, while it serves its primary function well, there's room for it to grow into an even more versatile tool. Features such as the ability to delete multiple images at once and exporting a list of all image URLs into a CSV file would greatly enhance its functionality. These additions would not only save time but also improve overall workflow efficiency.

In summary, it's a solid choice with the promise of becoming an essential tool with a few more features. I'm optimistic about future updates!

It is not perfect. If I don’t specify the file type, I might not get the size reduction I’m after. 8mb max size for images is a little annoying as I mostly resize large images. The background remover does not always work on resized images. I have only a couple of times seen a «drag an image here» box. Most of the time I need to browse for my file to upload it.
There is no way to move an image into a folder. There is only one effect «Black & White».

But support is great. They are working on these issues and they will be adding more effects. So all-in-all I am pretty excited by PP, especially the API feature where I can remove the background, apply an effect, etc without having to log into PP.

I believe in the teams ability to iron out the issues 💪🏼

This tool doesn't seems to be working fine. For example if you just upload a image & transform it to lower quality (without any other changes) it will increase the image size instead of lowering it.
Also, i added a custom domain & linked to a another folder. Image of the custom domain folder are unable to transform.

Hope you improve in future.

Whatever you have stated just works for me. The image transformations are well thought out.
Super simple to use. Just click click and we are done.
Excellent background removal, I think one of the best I have seen! Kudos on that.

The CDN performs quite well. The image optimisation is crazy, with the amount of optimisation it does.

I am also excited to try out the CNAME which I have not yet tried, but will come back in case I need any help with it.

Would be great to have a shopify plugin (I am willing to upgrade if this option comes through)

Installation unter WordPress sowie CNAME waren schnell erledigt. Erste Fragen an den Support waren noch schneller beantwortet und meine Anregungen wurden der Roadmap hinzugefügt. Die Software ist übersichtlich und leicht zu bedienen. Ich überlege schon von Tier 1 auf Tier 2 zu switchen. Weiter so - ich bin gespannt!
