Turning investor behavior into stock market success
I bought OVTLYR in January 2024. Without any trading experience I opened an account on a platform, depositing 100 euros. Today my account, following OVTLYR signals, reached 360 euros.
I purchased OVTLYR a couple of months ago and I can share some initial impressions. The software seems promising. However, I encountered some difficulties: there is no text-based guide. The only available learning materials are video tutorials. Personally, I prefer having a manual or a written guide to quickly consult for specific information.
I believe that adding a text-based guide would significantly improve the user experience, making it easier to learn the software's features in a detailed and quick manner. This improvement could also reduce the time needed to troubleshoot issues or learn new features of the software.
For now, my rating is 3 tacos because it has potential, but more comprehensive written documentation would be a significant advantage.
Overall looks like it does what it says. The coverage is limited to mostly US stocks and ETFs, but then for joe consumer investor that's probably ok. The main feature that's missing for me is getting notified by email when a rating changes for stocks/etfs on my watchlist. Happy to change to a 5* if that's shipped.
Easy application that facilitates decision making it's excellent.
Continue to save me money and above all time. Well done...
Impressed so far! I think some of the reviews are on the harsh side. The team has built a great product with impressive data capabilities. Sure there are always needs for faster updates and more time relevant signals, but I think their AI update will help there. UI could be improved, but this is an early product and I'm also looking forward to those updates and the mobile app. Ovtlyr has a lot of potential! The initial impressions are excellent, particularly from the perspective of a swing trader. Thanks for bring this on AppSumo.
After years of trading and enduring its accompanying stress, Ovtlyr has become my trusted solution.
No more guessing – now, I receive timely emails notifying me when stocks on my watchlist are ripe for buying or selling.
The platform's UI is fantastic, continuously improving with each passing week.
On top of that, there's the invaluable support of Chris, our dedicated trading room host, who shares daily insights and advice on trading techniques and trade ideas.
Let's not forget the Discord membership, packed with hundreds of tips, videos, and trade ideas.

It's the best decision you'll ever make for refining your trading strategy.
I do a decent amount of trading and I've had the same experience as others - the Buy/Sell alerts seem to always be lagging, and significantly so. I really like the premise, but a service like this should aggregate all the indicators into the bottom line Buy/Sell alerts. The user shouldn't have to check 3 or 4 indicators. Anyone who can do that wouldn't find value in this service, as their are free indicators easily available. Aggregate all the data in a timely fashion into alerts, and you'll have a great product.
After using the platform, I recognize its potential for swing trading. The user interface could be improved, and it would be beneficial to have a feature that indicates the strongest sector, with the ability to select multiple sectors consecutively. There is also room for improvement in the filtering options, requiring more diverse choices. Finally, the buying signal shows promise, but it often comes late when stocks are already in motion, resulting in a hit or miss. Nonetheless, I strongly believe in the platform's potential.
As a swing trader who has a fair idea of when to buy, I could not make any sense of the buy recommendations.
They all seem to suggest buying high and selling low and after the breakouts or reversals have happened, putting you at high risk low reward positions. I bought this up with the team and was told the signals are lagging. So I thought I'll suspend judgement and just follow the signals which are supposed to based on buyer behaviour. But after having lost 1k I give up. In the same time I've made 3k using other stock screeners and my own judgement.
I'm shown that if I followed all of the buy and sell signals I would be up on a particular stock. May be in the long run I will be profitable. But I'm not willing to lose 10k to find out.
It erodes ones confidence and takes a mental toll losing all that money. Maybe I'll look at this in the future when the signals are no longer lagging. I really had high hopes for this, and quite dissapointed to be honest. Just another on the pile of AI promises that doesn't deliver. However the support is great.
On Mark's recommendation, I signed up for the trial before spending my hard-earned taco money on this lifetime deal.
I'm not the best at trading, and I don't really care to be. I don't have time to dive deep and become an expert at it. My eyes literally glaze over reading about it. I hadn't been tending properly to my portfolio at all, because I just find constantly keeping up with what's going on with each company or ETF one by one kind of overwhelming.
So I'm *that* kind of use case. I want to put things in my watchlist, and just be told what to do each day. sell? k. buy? if I like it....k.
Well, it's been 2.5 weeks, and I cancelled the free trial.
Why?
Because Ovtlyr has already paid for itself!
I won't say it's been perfect, but it's a FAR sight better than me at this! Every morning, I check my notifications and sell the Sells and buy some Buys. I dumped some real losers, and the Bull watchlist helped me discover some new-to-me potentials that are already looking really good. It's helped improve my portfolio mix drastically, and I'm up a couple percentage points. To the moon!
Now can you help me with my crypto portfolio too? :D
I've bought almost every investing tool here on Appsumo, from Tykr, Outprfrm, Altitrader, and now Ovtlyr. I make the distinction between investing and trading, and for me, Ovtlyr falls in the trading bucket.
I've spent some time on the discord channels, watching the YouTube videos, and joining the 10-min trading room sessions. Overall, I like the platform and would give it 4.5 Tacos - Almost a 5, but not quite there.
Chris shares his trading strategy on Discord, explaining when he enters trades, how to size positions, and where to place stop losses. Moreover, he generously offers his eBook to others and actively utilizes the platform to trade, openly sharing his techniques and strategies. All plus points, just that it takes a little time to find the information, run through it, and figure it out. Personally, I think the information sharing can be better structured through training videos and the like. BUT, it's all there.
Users should not anticipate being able to use the platform without making an effort to learn the approach and exercising due diligence to put it into practice. Merely trading based on every signal provided by the platform is not a viable approach, and I believe it's an unrealistic expectation.
I've noticed that the team is constantly enhancing the platform using user feedback. Although the UI may seem simple, I personally don't mind as long as it effectively facilitates successful trading. I believe that dedicating more time to testing the strategy is necessary. The platform shows great potential and its fear/greed indicators are incredibly innovative to me. I think the $79 is a worthwhile investment, and I look forward to seeing how the platform evolves.
I bought the code because personally talked to the team about their plans. I consider it as long-term investment and it will wait till product matures.
The team is very passionate about the product and have a great background.
It terms of some reviews about needed improvements - that's totally normal, that's why products launch on AppSumo, they need community feedback.
