Autonomous video editor and translator for entrepreneurs
Close to fully Stacked this one.
Maybe on the rebound this one will be fun.
So Far Not fun and not polished as you have to be 95% camera ready for this to work.
Also the blocking is substandard so unless just a talking head with a teleprompter 99% of the time you will have to go back an reedit using your ROUGH to fill in the missed blocking and
correct where the AI missed corrections.
Doing the "EASY" edit on transcript looses all the time marks for video so like they suggest stick with complex edit on transcript.
This has a great concept however IMHO only truly usable for those that when they shoot are using teleprompter and need only 5% edit on their video, and even those people may run into a blocking problem.
Okay so why three tacos then you ask. Even with the VAST room for improvement this program does what it says it is going to do. Sort of.
My bet is that if it is offered again it may be worth taking a look at. I'm holding on to my LTD as I will only refund product that totally do not work, are misrepresented, or find don't meet my needs at all. Unfortunately I'm at the 10% use at the moment. If I was a better video producer to start with this would be perfect for me.
If you see this again and you are doing scripted videos with centered graphics you may want to give this a try. Also I'm almost certain there is subscription service available right now if you want, but as of now this program does not meet my needs. #bdv
I was patient and gave OneTake AI a chance to improve. Sadly after months, it has not.
The program just reformats an automatic subtitle in a more creative than the traditional subtitle box at the bottom of a video. I was of the assumption it would create summaries or variations of talking points, rather than just list every word from the transcription in bullet-point format.
But the most frustrating...if I can even get a video to upload to the network, it might begin the conversion process so it can be edited. And if I'm really really lucky, it will actually export the final product into a mp4 video format that I can use.
(This has actually only happened once, however.)
The odds of successfully creating and exporting a video with this platform is as likely as winning the Powerball.
If I could get my money back, I would for sure.
There is potential, but I'm not sure why the creators haven't make the necessary moves to improve the product.
It's literally just transcribing and adding word by word in a presentation format. At first, I thought it would use AI to create a summary and add supporting bullet points, but all bullet points are literally just a transcript. Then in editing mode, just gets harder from there. Disappointed and got credits for nothing. Before really trying the system out, I had a customer that could use such a system, signed up for the referral program, then another brand appears. Just disappointed.
Don't be fooled by all those 5 taco reviews, they all received incentive (free subpar course) to rate this software as a top software and the ones that felt like less than 5 tacos they were advised to use their internal feedback system. They are great at marketing and sales but failed short at software development AND support.
I raised a ticked in their clunky (at least) support chat, and received a response after a month and a second message. Responded to their request to send them the video, waited for another half a month for them to provide a "solution" that was not even related to the problem.
My issue with One Take AI is the non-existent support and the mp4 export that freezes for a fraction of a second (noticeable) with any video transition (new bullet point, screen swap, etc.). I am no creator, wanted to test this out for marketing and sales purposes, had one project so far, haven't used the platform much but can imagine only how much more of a time would be wasted on this software that boast to be a one click solution.
Hoping my investment will pay off but I'd avoid this for now as it's not ready for the public. Again, bravo to the team for your marketing and sales efforts, they have been outstanding, hence the 240+ reviews and >4.5 taco rating... software development, not that much.
I am loving my experience. I use all the different layouts, I let it pick the colors because that is not my strengths. I use it to post on YouTube, my socials and FB group. I do a lot of short videos. I also used One Take to create my VSL (Video Sales Letters) for my website.
My biggest issues is sometimes it gets glichey and I have to rerecord because it locks up.
I am waiting on Gaze correction and teleprompter to create my course material
Thank you Sabastain for all the work you all do and the updates you give us.
I really like the concept of OneTake AI but there were too many issues and limitations that made it non-viable for my applications.
Main issues:
- Language translation: this is highly limited if you are offering any external services because it requires the subject to record specific words and phrases for the AI to reproduce the voice and lip sync. This is logical and understandable but highly limited for any video editors that will never have that content to provide. As an editor, I could provide four hours of content reference for AI to process and understand voice tonality and replication from a single subject - but I don't have the specific words they want - so language translation won't work for me.
- The onscreen text that, at a glance, might look like bullet points in some situations seem to be a direct transcription. I'd honestly much rather have bullet points in those specific visual presentations. When I tried to edit the text for on-screen options, my footage would have either lost sync - or edits out footage that I didn't want removed.
- There's a "made with OneTake AI" that is built into each video created that doesn't seem to be removable. For lots of applications, this is a non-starter.
Overall, this might be a great match for a lot of people but definitely not for my use case and application.
As an independent sales agent, this program is a absolute game changer for creating and sending impactful videos to clients. Look forward to being along for the ride and hope they plan to grow and support this software for many years to come.
OneTake is excellent. However, as mentioned by another review the name is misleading and makes you think that the purchaser just clicks the button, and everything works. Over the last year Sebastien and his team have worked hard on improves and suggestions from the live sessions video calls every few weeks. OneTake is improving all the time and getting better.
If I send questions than all my questions are answer fast. Another bonus is the free courses given by experts to OneTake members.
Five TACOS to Sebastien and his team for all their hard work on making constant improvements to OneTake and listening to feedback from their customers.
My only regret is only buying tier 2, I'm hoping Sebastien will give early backs a chance to upgrade to higher tiers. OneTake is a definite buy and highly recommended.

The one thing I despise is editing videos. It's incredibly time consuming. With OneTake AI, I just upload, let it fix everything and create "slides", saving me from actually making slides. And, I can customize it. The only thing I wish it had now is the ability to save multiple brand colors and more video templates.
Software has potentional as other reviewers already explained. But OneTake has also too many unstable factors as is pointed out already. Most of the time it just does not work. Every step in the process seems to be unstable: login, export, translation and most annoying of all: the support section.
Example: export got stuck so I got the message "We encountered an error during your export. Please contact our amazing Customer Success team. They will resolve that issue within one business day." - The success team seems to be busy celebrating the financial gains selling on AppSumo but did not even get any response, let alone a solution.
So what to do? Buying OneTake is like investing in Bitcoin. Trying to comfort myself with the idea I managed at least some exports the last two months. For translation I needed to seek for other software solutions like Streamr or Unmixr.
This product doesn't work as advertised:
When you choose custom colors, it doesn't keep them and apply them to future videos.
It doesn't apply the colors that you choose, but instead applies other colors.
It cuts off translations and doesn't translate the whole video.
Support is attentive, but unfortunately can't resolve existing problems with the software. It's not ready for release.
The product has a lot of potential, and if done say it does what it promises/intends to do, I guess I will be very happy.
First of all, they do not provide you with the possibility to login with a password, but they insist on sending you a „magic link“ at logon after you enter your email.
This never worked for me, the emails never reached me regardless what is and browser setting I tried. And of course the mail was also not in the spam folder.
That brings me to the second problem, the extremely dumb chat bot they provide. When I describe my problem, it pointed me to my spam folder and whoever I answered it just kept repeating that I should look at my spam folder.
The transcript of that chat is then sent to me, but no one looks at it. I once sent the transcript to support if they solve it and they asked back, what was the problem, obviously without having liked at the chat. I explained the problem and did not heard back.
Appsumo support made them finally send a magic link to me (but which only worked once, now I am back at square one), so I had the chance to test the product itself:
When I recorded a 30 second video (also didn’t work with a 1:30 minutes video), it sayed it was uploaded and now I should click the „magic link“ (they really seem to like magical links). Doing so would take some processing but „should take less time then the duration of the video“. After some 8 hours the video was still not finished processed (percentage bar still stayed at 0%). Again I tried it with several browsers without any improvements.
Aldo, they offer to record my voice and then produce even translations with my voice. They say they have a patent on this. As this is kind of gold standard for automatic translations/voice over, I am deeply impressed by that claim. However, when trying this out, they offer different languages to try, and with different browsers, I always get the message that something went wrong (tried some 50 times in all dot if combinations) .
So I conclude that this might be a very good tool in future but for nie it is not usable to me.
