26-in-1 AI extension to Write, Summarize & Code

Initially, I was a bit skeptical, but now I am extremely satisfied with the Merlin app. I find it very convenient, intuitive, and useful in many aspects. This Chrome extension offers a 26-in-1 functionality allowing users to research, summarize, and write content directly from the browser. I use Merlin all the time, and I even wrote this very review with its help. However, my positive feedback is genuine because I decided myself what to express. It's a great tool for anyone who needs to streamline their workflow and enhance productivity. Highly recommended!

I purchased tier 2 plan to test and in result upgraded to tier 3 plan. With further use I experienced how beneficial it is for my day to day work so I ended up buying one more tier 2 plan since T3 was max and I wanted more credits. This tool now bas become my most favorite and most useful in everyday tasks.

If any further lifetime deal comes up, I definitely will upgrade for more credits ❤️

better to use chat bots directly, simply a wrapper. Doesnt provide any further function than that

I'm really impressed with how powerful and helpful it is. As a Chrome extension, it integrates seamlessly into my browser and uses advanced AI models like GPT-4 to assist with a ton of different online tasks.

YouTube videos, drafting blog posts, or scraping data from web pages.

Merlin has been my go-to Ai Research and Writing Tool for about 3 months now. lt's a capable and fun to use, and I rarely use chatGPT or other equivalent chatbot, because Merlin handled all the things I throw at it and I am able to use the other AI models and Merlin also comes with several useful AI Tools. I found the interface intuitive enough and I am satisfied with the purchase.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience as a subscriber to the Merlin PRO Plan. When I initially signed up for the yearly plan, it was with the understanding that I would receive unlimited chat and unlimited image generation. This was a key selling point for me, and it influenced my decision to choose this plan. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing.

Without any prior notice or communication, Merlin abruptly changed the plan benefits to include only 15,000 credits for image generation. I feel misled and betrayed by this unexpected change. The company did not send any emails or notifications to inform subscribers like myself about this significant alteration to the plan. This lack of transparency is both unprofessional and unethical.

I relied on the unlimited image generation to support various projects, and the sudden imposition of limits has disrupted my workflow. It feels like a bait-and-switch tactic, and I am left questioning the integrity of the company's business practices. As a customer, I expect honesty and clear communication, neither of which I received in this instance.

For anyone considering subscribing to the Merlin PRO Plan, I urge you to be wary. The company may not honor the terms and benefits they initially advertise, as I have unfortunately experienced. This has been an incredibly disappointing experience, and I am now forced to reconsider my options going forward.

Overall, I cannot recommend the Merlin PRO Plan. If a company cannot maintain trust and transparency with its customers, it raises serious concerns about their commitment to delivering on their promises. I hope Merlin addresses these issues and makes amends for the dissatisfaction and inconvenience caused to their customers. Until then, my experience leaves me with no choice but to rate this service a disappointing 1 star.

Worth it

I used GetMarlin AI for my writing project, and I was let down by the quality. The content was repetitive and failed to capture the nuances I needed. Overall, it didn’t deliver the value I was hoping for.

Really love this tool!! Bought Tier 2 and use it daily for personal use and while I'm working through the day. Even bought a 2nd Tier 2 for the family to use!! Having access to soo many AI models, the Chome extension, and the LinkedIn and YouTube integration is also helpful!

Updating my review, which was previously 3 stars.

After using Merlin for a while, it is clear this is and will be a great product.

1. The team is VERY responsive. They have a Canny feedback page and Discord channel where they are active multiple times per day. They are also very responsive over e-mail. Any new ideas or bugs get talked about.

2. They want to make Merlin genuinely really good. You can just tell by how engaged they are, and how they make changes based on feedback.

3. Although the Tier 3 deal was really good and gave a lot of credits, the team were away they would likely have financial issues if they went with "unlimited" like many companies do, or did not offer an upgrade path. Merlin offered a fair upgrade path for AppSumo users.

4. The UI has changed and is MUCH better than it was before. There are still some steps to take to improve further, and the pop-out extension needs modernising like the main UI, but the main, web-accessed UI is much better than it was before.

5. Being able to use multiple chatbots in one place can be really useful. Being able to create images or text output is really useful.

6. They add the most up-to-date AI models very quickly. GPT o1 and Flux 1 Pro were added pretty much on their release days. These are expensive models we are getting included in our plan.

Mostly, the updated review is because the teams is clearly interested in not only making this a great product, but making it sustainable. Given the number of products that shut down, this ahs given me faith in the Merlin team.

Their Android app will not work on a de-Googled phone. and there is no extension for Firefox. It is hard to trust any company that requires Google to function.
