Most advanced webinar platform
The easy-to-use functions and the WordPress integration.
I purchased LiveWebinar in April 2023. I was super excited. Tried to use it with live conferences (one on ones, with real guests) and I could not hear the other person. Neither could get their mics to work. I tested it myself as a guest and a host, thinking they were doing something wrong and hoping to show them how to fix it, and could not sign on as a guest either. As a guest, there was an entire process to test the mic; too much friction for my clients. I reached out to support a few times; they were responsive in that they got back to me quickly. I appreciated that.
Unfortunately, they kept sending me back to their articles that didn't help. They do have extensive documentation, but it didn't help. I tried to reconfigure several times, thinking I had put it on Webinar setting instead of meeting setting, but to no avail. I have used lots of video conferencing platforms as a host and guest and have never ran into permanent issues connecting the audio.
Also, having their branding overly emphasized was annoying. I could have lived with the branding if it was usable for me. But not being able to hear my clients and asking them to go through an entire testing process is not workable. So, I have a $198 USD lifetime plan that I can't use. Unfortunate for something that had so much promise.
This is not a new platform, but UI is extremely basic and complicated, virtual background can is risky affair, i tried with an interview and failed miserably. Not a trust worthy platform like Zoom or webinar jam. If you have used any good product like Zoom/Teams/Webinar Jam this will be downgrade, they are taking hell lot of time to improve at slowest speed possible. Best of luck, whoever dare to reliable. I witness one of the most unreelable service ever. You mess-up with webinar platform, you are done as a business owner. Highly not recommended to serious buinesses and startups.
This is a review coming from a business owner. I invested in Live Webinar because someone I trust recommended it to me, having purchased a license a few years ago.
I've had the platform for over a month and attended the live trainings webinars. I've spent about 10 hours so far working through all of the many settings that have to be set up for every webinar. I haven't used it for a live webinar yet because I'm still working with the support team to try and get the registration pages, waiting pages etc to look OK.
The page builder is really basic and the platform doesn't come with any templates, so you'll have to build your own from scratch. The text editor allows you to build basic text, set different H headlines and change the text colour. The font size and style is preset so can't be changed. There are a few annoying things such as breaking the text, mid-word, when wrapping a line of text. The font size and colour for the agenda cannot be changed and neither can the agenda text box background colour. So when the text populates the agenda module (from the drag and drop page builder) you might run into problems such as I have with the text not visible.
Many of the functions are pay gated, so you'll have to upgrade for the many bits and pieces that you would normally expect to find included. I was planning on upgrading my licence tier but I'm not sure this is going to work out for me, because of the amount of hours it takes to set the app up.
I'm still using Google Meet because it's so much easier to build an optin page and drop a Meet link than setting up this app.
I haven't used it for any live webinars yet because it's been so problematic in the set up phase. Customer Support is excellent and very helpful.
I'm not new to webinar apps but I am new to live webinar.
I've used more than a few webinar tools over the past decade, but LiveWebinar is now my "go to" option, especially with its continuing improvements.
I started using LiveWebinar when I purchased it for a company I was working with almost two years ago. We had used GoToWebinar before, and we had Microsoft Teams webinar available. But we needed an affordable and easy to use system that didn't require a huge learning curve.
Even in its earlier version, LiveWebinar fit the bill. It was easy to setup, and we ran our webinars with very little prep time.
I've since purchase LiveWebinar for my own marketing toolbox, and I now regularly recommend it to my marketing industry colleagues and contacts.
My primary recommendations are based on how I use it for the event marketing segment of my digital marketing toolbox:
-) Direct integration with LinkedIn and Facebook, if possible, especially their event forms.
-) Also, direct integration with EventBrite and Meetup.com, which I have also used to promote webinars.
-) Updated UI/UX design, as the current version seems to be based on 2010 design.
-) Consider expanding to larger event marketing options (like Hopin's, for example).
LiveWebinar was one of my best AppSumo investment. But even without the AppSumo deal, this is still a worthwhile investment for online event marketers.
Just had an awesome time hanging out with my friends - work and play virtually! We were all blown away. I tested out the website's embedding features, live-streamed on YouTube, and used the CC and translation features - all worked perfectly!
I was hesitant at first with the interface seeming overwhelming, but it's easy and super polished overall. The video and sound quality are incredible and I'm glad I finally started using this product. We were all having so much fun, I even forgot Zoom existed! 🤯
Oh and by the way, 15 tacos on me - I am officially a LiveWebinar fan! 🌮💻
I just got one more code. I don't need this code right now, but this tool saved me so much time that I decided to buy one more code.
I am a University teacher, and during covid, all my classes happened inside Livewebinar. Other professors, like me, tried Teams, youtube, and BigBlueButton, and all of these tools failed in a way. Teams were unstable, youtube lacked features for proper teaching, and BBB was trash.
While my fellow professors complained all the time as had like three minor problems during the period. Three small problems!!! My wife also teaches online, and we use Livewebinar simultaneously. No problem at all.
Some features are unique:
- Instant yes no Poll (help me with the question: can I continue?).
- Pre-recorded questionnaires
- Direct to youtube transmission (I save all my classes on youtube)
- Chat with file upload.
- Information about each device in the session.
- Support almost in real-time.
But there are things I would like to see as improvements:
- The recording interfaces have fixed areas that could occupy less space. However, I need as much space as possible since I teach software, and I need the students to see my full HD screen while they can see the messages from other students.
- Use two webcams on the same computer so one camera shows me and the other I can use to show them stuff. I do this by connecting with my cellphone as another user.
- Usage statistics right after the section. I would like to know how long the student stayed in class if they left and returned...
The basic webinar functions are decent but the deal's structure is confusing to me and when i ask questions, the response is generic and hardly addresses the question (this came to a head in my last question, the response to which didn't answer my questions at all). A fast response is nice, but when that response feels like it's been written by AI except for a line or 2, it severely takes away from the speed of the response. 'Evergreen webinars' is severely lacking and this is the main reason i would have bought this (no chat function, and when 'just in time' is toggled on, it immediately starts the webinar with no other option). Plus in my view, the deal is expensive and thinned out with a starting point of $79 and 10-code value-add depth. Banners etc which one can access for just $18/mth on the website is available at a depth of 5 codes. UI/UX is somewhat polished but not quite there as yet. I'll continue to test and update my tacos if necessary.
The video recording quality is so pathetic that you can't even read a word, and they are claiming recording to be HD with 24 fps, when you record video with same settings from zoom or any other platform, it is not even comparable, there is something wrong.
I had reached to the support and got this:
"
After checking in our system I can see that you are using AppSumo 300 account. Please be advised that upon AppSumo 500 there was an option of improving quality on your account to up to 30 fps and up to Full HD resolution. Unfortunately there's no any AppSumo & LiveWebinar sale ongoing so I am afraid that there might be no possibility of upgrading it anymore.
I am truly sorry for your inconvenience. You could however sign up for any of the available plans we have - https://www.livewebinar.com/pricing you can check it here. Upon Business Plan there's FHD option available.
"
There was no option to upgrade video recording to 30 fps, and it is not about fps or resolution, HD quality with 24 fps gives reasonable quality video. The truth is, what they are claiming they are not giving..
I was hoping quality will improve in future, but it is not happening, and now I'm regretting that I've trusted you and purchased this deal...
i think everyone knows of LiveWebinar and there is reason why its #1 app of 2019.
Since i joined Sumo in 2021 I missed out. I stacked all 10 codes to run 10 concurrent sessions.
works great 30fps as expected <3
Livewebinar is an established webinar software brand. I use the software since 2021 and took the opportunity to upgrade my plan.
I especially love the easy-to-use functions and the WordPress integration.
With the new translation service and the new limits do I plan to hold more international meet ups.
This looks to me like a no-brainer deal for anyone sharing and coaching online.
Within the past 2+ years, I purchased multiple codes, livewebinar is everything it says plus more. I recently purchased another code as soon as I found out they are back just to get extra concurrent sessions. You know why I purchased that extra code? Many improvement since my first code purchase, most importantly: I just found out that they have released a wordpress plugin. Highly recommend it, many uses and applications, and a solid team.
My only request: At some point in the future, we'd love full whitelabel including CNAME, maybe after 5 codes we'll get 5 domain CNAME with each additional code. That will be truly amazing to have instead of paying extra (not cheap) per year.
The other thing is that the documentations are kinda outdated PDF's, there should be a better live documentation system, it's not hard to figure out settings, just small details that would have been super helpful.
A million times better software than the competition (What's Zoom anyway?)
