The web browser built around servicing clients
I didn't realize Kirmada is actually a browser in and of itself and doesn't integrate with the browser I already use. A summer ETA for using extensions falls well outside the 60-day refund window, so if they never get that going then Kirmada would not be useful as a replacement for the Brave browser FOR ME. I'm only speaking for myself. I did try it out, and it does what it says it'll do, so I'm not going to rate it low because of what it doesn't have right now. I've just decided that buying the roadmap won't work for me. The ability to add extensions is paramount when you think about something like a password managers or developer tools for web devs, of which I am one.
I have been using this for a few weeks now and it is fantastic. So simple, that people might not see the brilliance. I have to research stuff and previously had a convoluted system of saving bookmarks and stuff like that. Now it is all gone. I just open the window I was working on and it is all saved.
I hope in the future they do a bookmark toolbar like Firefox which can help with the more researched stuff. I also hope they have a system where you can download things and they are automatically stored in the appropriate workspace. But for now, it has already paid for itself.
It is great now and getting better every day.
I have only been messing with this for a day. Set up one client......so far I love it. I've tried a number of these types of platforms and none of them have worked out. This is by far the best I've seen yet. So far no complaints. Very happy to have found it.
I've tried a couple of similar products to Kirmada previously but never been able to get on with them. I thought I'd give this one a go and after only a few days using it I am loving it!
As someone who usually has a ton of tabs open on my browser, I purchased it initially to see how it would help me organise the web pages I use for different clients and for myself. Being able to switch workspaces and use the same websites but logged in with the different, relevant credentials is fantastic & already saving me time. I already feel like I am more organised and can get to the online software I use for different clients quicker and easier.
But I also love the fact that I can automatically track what time I am spending on each client - I've just taken on my first monthly retainer for a set amount of hours each month and this is a godsend!
I downloaded the 30 day trial of Kirmada before investing, and after extensive use by myself and my team, as well as several interactions with Adam troubleshooting different problems we had, we decided that it is such a great product it was worth the investment. We're excited for the chrome extensions to be implemented but in the mean time it's still been an excellent tool for us to use as a project management tool for our team. The Kirmada team is responsive and I'm looking forward to all the items on the roadmap.
I really like it. Very intuitive, setting it up was super easy. It helps me stay organized and keeps me from getting distracted. Not to mention the time tracking in each project. I haven't figured out where to change it to USD, though.
This is one of the best software I have purchased on AppSumo. It's a total game changer when it comes to business software.
This Software has so much to offer it would take all day to just mention all what you can do with Kirmada.
I purchased the Tier 1 and was impressed with the software I upgraded to Tier 3.
This is a must have for your any type of business, with the time tracker built in, the unlimited work spaces and Calendar with Notes and also able to post on Social Media.
Adding Team Members and don't let me forget about the built in Web Browser with Bookmarks and this is not even half of what you can do with Kirmada.
This is truly one of the Best Business Tools for any business that has clients.
And after speaking with the Founder Adam, I truly feel what he said that was coming down the pipeline for this software is going to blow your mind.
If you haven't purchased this software by now you will be kicking yourself in the butt if you miss this deal.
Thanks again Adam and your team for creating such an awesome software.
I'm giving five tacos (this wording is still bizzare for me, but I am technically new here) because I can't get over how much potential I can see here.
I have found it relatively intuitive to use - the UI and design are good, I am still getting used to how to go back within a workspace vs go back to see all workspaces, but I am getting there.
I do a lot of work for a lot of people, some billable and some unpaid. Finally having a way to log that time and also to not have to log-in and log-out of their things every time I need to jump on - more importantly not needing their stuff logged into my regular browser is INSANELY helpful and time-saving and makes me less inclined to put off doing the work I need to for them. I even think I am going to create a workspace dedicated to my husband for all the secretarial work I carry out... haha may be easier for him to understand the emotional labour load I carry for him and our two children :') ... I digress.
My fledgling start-up is bootstrapped, so I am currently considering whether I need oversight in what my business partner/ co-founder is doing in their workspace/s (i.e. go up a licence tier) or if I should have a separate LTD in tier one purchased for her. My concern is that she is not tech savvy so which pathway is better in terms of... will I have to do all the set up and organising anyway? But I don't need her to see or have access to the many side projects I do that are not necessarily billed/billable.
Important things (which I note are on the roadmap) that would greatly improve usability for me:
Nested workspaces.
My start-up deals with multiple clients, being worked on by myself or my partner at any given time. Obviously as I have also chosen to use kirmada to assist in division of labour for my other projects outside of my business, I have to an assortment of workspaces that show up when I log-in. Nesting the ones related to my main business would be great.
Chrome extension... I could go on about why, but I think it's straight forward.
Remain logged in - this could be an issue I alone face, but I would love it if I could stay logged in for longer periods. My password is generated and I haven't a hope of recalling it, so it makes logging in every single time a bit of a pain.
CRM - some basic functionality in this space would be so great for small businesses that aren't ready to invest in a full system yet.
I can see how document uploading would be beneficial for if you worked across broad areas, but as I haven't been able to preview any of the files I have uploaded, so far I have found it to be superfluous. I only say this because I uploaded them from my desktop... and in order to view them I would need to download them again. If I am in the browser downloading it from a client's email or whatever, it would dl to my desktop and regardless is still accessible to view in the email preview option OR opening the file in a tab. Also given it's likely to be stored in any number of cloud storage systems, I wouldn't see the value to storing it in kirmada. Then again, I am not across other user case reasons for wanting / needing that feature, but from my perspective it is unnecessary.
Hiya,
Bought the 2nd tier as I can see an immediate use for this. It looks great and is super fast.
We're a team of 3-5 working in event management so we're often split between different projects which often overlap so being able to steamline workflows & break down our spend to the penny is a huge win for us.
It's really got potential to be an amazing business / teams too so I've included few ideas on first glance. I'm sure many of these will already have been discussed.
- it would be great if there were an addition of a bookmark bar & folders
- not sure how best to phrase this but it would be great if you could create sub-workspaces under a main workspace where you could have specific bookmarks relevant to a specific task or area of the business and bill an overall workspace for it and retain the same logins. It would allow you to take the right tools to the job (i.e. a workspace with relevant bookmarks) and get a breakdown of what's being spent where i.e. marketing / sales / finance to a larger project.
- the ability to add tags to workspaces by categories or to do, doing, done etc.
- an admin panel on the left tool bar: with the ability to set / change the billing amount for team members and hide tools for certain users.
- admin controls: the ability to stop team members from adding in new workspaces. I'm sure blocking access to some websites could be of use to some people too.
- admin controls: the ability to export an activity log which includes log in & log out times, which project a team member was working on, billing amount, tags etc to be uploaded to third party spreadsheet
- admin controls - the ability to set an automated email to the admin email or custom email with a csv of billing hours (or an activity log) attached once a week vs doing it manually
- password manager: save browser passwords specific to teams, individuals.
- an internal messaging feature for team members on the left panel
- a notes feature for each user
- an editable shortcuts page on the left hand panel which could direct members to external sites / documents with the option to open it using a particular workspace
- the resources feature is handy
- the ability to add a bookmark to another workspace with a keyboard shortcut
- global bookmarks
- in terms of external applications, could you create buttons which open the application up and trigger
It feels weird having the link to workspaces as the logo in the top left but will get used to it. Look forward to getting this properly set up later today!
I’m a freelancer and I jump around on different projects throughout the day. At best I would roughly have a sense of what my actual workday looked like… Kirmada has totally changed that. It’s super easy to switch between projects and a timer helps me keep track of how much time I’ve spent on the project.
It’s exactly what I needed for better organization and effortless timetracking.
I’m looking forward to using more features and very grateful for kirmada.
Bought, because I hate having multi-project work tabs open next to each other, no matter how hard I try.
Now, I can put them into silos, separate and distinct from each other, which fosters greater productivity and peace of mind, for me at least.
It's a wonderful start, and once Extensions are added it will take over as my one and only work browser as there are a number of previous Appsumo tools like TabExtend and Voila for example, that will work like a treat. Until then, I'll use it on a number of small side-hustles to see how they go.
One suggestion would be to make the billing timer optional. Right now, there are a number of internal projects which are not billable to anyone and therefore the timer is irrelevant, and to a certain degree, irritating.
You know when this tool is needed when you have to go through multiple browsers to find and purchase the tool. Thanks. I just set it up and already put it to use. I like the fact that each project runs independently, meaning I can sign into my clients' GoDaddy, Gmail, social media, etc., without signing out of mine. Literally on now creating my perfect eco space. Thank you for coming to AppSumo. This is definitely a keeper.
