All-in-one consent and dsar management
I've been using CYTRIO's privacy management platform for a month now, and I'm impressed. It simplified our CCPA and GDPR compliance process dramatically.
The cookie consent banner was up in minutes, and the DSAR management is practically on autopilot.
I love how it automatically detects and categorizes cookies on websites.
For any business struggling with data privacy laws, or for agencies building websites, CYTRIO is a game-changer. It's user-friendly, comprehensive, and has saved us both time and potential headaches.
At this point, the soft has no value for companies operating in the EU. Still no embrace of GDPR. Still problems with GTM.
It was supposed to be embraced by the end of May. What happened? When will it be embraced? No one knows.
The cookie consent platform aspect is really the shining star of this product. It's relatively easy to set up and provides the necessary basic customizations.
However the privacy/cookie policy templates are a bit too general (especially given that they advertise compliance for GDPR and CCPA) and have a few typos/ grammar issues that require some pretty thorough editing that's more time-consuming than some of the alternatives on the market.
I look forward to future updates and hope to see updated templates as the legislation and compliance changes that makes good use of the existing tech their competitors are using to update policies more seamlessly.
I just purchased Tier 1.
The whole login process is a nightmare: the login cannot be stored in your browser, neither in 1password (so you have to copy paste all the time). Then you have to paste a code, each time.
When you copy paste the url to go to another tab in the browser, you have to login again.
I had to do this process 4 times in 10 minutes...
I nearly want to refund just for this.
Scanning my website showed only 2 cookies, but there are much more.
So... I will do a bit more testing, to see if i keep this.
Does the job, easy to use, lightweight but I have a few issues which I can't work with.
-Please remove the links to external websites in the cookie lists which are all "follow" links by the way.
-There is no option to hide empty categories without any cookies inside, at the cookie list
-Ability to enable a category by default
-Banner views seem very limited...There is a competitor who offers on the free plan 25000 cookie banner views per website
-I would like to be able to delay the loaded javascript but it doesn't seem possible with Cytrio because if I do then the banner doesn't load at all. I have tried competition products which can be delayed and block the scripts at the same time.
I checked on two websites
Part of the banner is off-screen. I have tried changing the banner location but this error is present everywhere. The problem affects mobile devices and computers.
Secondly, I cannot add a logo even though I meet the requirements listed on the website
I didn't find any contact details under the Help button, so I decided to write it in the review
I'm not sure if it works properly, because even if I didn't agree, I still had access to the chat. The Cookie bot blocked this function.
That's why I haven't installed Cytrio on my high-traffic stores and Google ADS yet
Pros
Very simple installation compared to competing products.
I never really thought much about cookie banners for my site because it's not required in my state, YET! Grumblings about it rolling out here made me look into this app. I am sure glad I did.
It covers every aspect of what a cookie banner should be and then some. For me this is a just buy it!
Easy to use,
copy paste code to your html or php index page,
very customizable,
good quality-price product,
serious team.
Couple of Videos and Manuals to help.
I recommend.
I've used nearly every cookie consent tool, and they often leave me feeling frustrated. CYTRIO is a refreshing change.
Here's what I appreciate:
- Ease of Use: Setting up a compliant cookie banner was incredibly simple and the customization options are decent.
- Automatic Cookie Detection: The app scans your website and categorizes cookies for you, which is a huge time-saver.
- Granular User Control: Visitors to your site can choose exactly which types of cookies they're comfortable with.
However, there are a couple of considerations:
- Limited White Labeling: CYTRIO doesn't offer full white-labeling capabilities, so their branding will be visible on your banner. This might be a concern for client-facing projects.
- Data Storage: CYTRIO stores user consent data on their servers. This streamlines the setup process, but it might raise privacy concerns for some users and their clients.
Overall, I'd recommend CYTRIO if you need a quick and easy solution for your own websites or have clients who are less concerned about branding details and data storage.
