I have been using Butter for my online workshops, and it has been a game-changer.
The interactive features, like elevator music and ice-breaking tools, make my workshops engaging and enjoyable.
I love the variety of options Butter offers, from flashcards to shared music, making my meetings organized and productive. It's way more fun and feature-rich than other platforms I've used.
The community support and unlimited meeting lengths are added bonuses that enhance my overall experience.
Highly recommend Butter!
I'll be very candid here, there is a learning curve, but I will say they have superior customer service and video tutorials.
I love that they assist in real time and make changes or a video tutorial to help with things you bring up that perhaps they didn't think of.
Because learned are accustomed to Zoom, there is a level of frustration with a new platform. I love the pre-planning feature, lobby music, and breakout room capabilities. The graphics are a bit elementary, as it relates to being able to make it more of a corporate, professional feel. It seems, as of now, to be tailored to audiences that serve youth. I would like to see some more mature color profiles and themes.
Overall, I recommend Butter. They've put in a lot of work and it improves on an ongoing basis. You may provide candid feedback and they're not taken aback by it, they improve. They're helpful and knowledgable about their product and I can appreciate their expertise and video tutorial library.
When I first looked at Butter, I was a little overwhelmed: all colorful, where you're used to a more subdued design from other video tools. At the time, I would have seen it more as an add-on tool to add variety to individual sessions, but not as a foundation for events.
In recent months, Butter has evolved a lot, new options have been integrated, and we now use it to design entire webinars. After some initial irritation, participants really like the "colorful" feel of Butter.
This app is amazing I bought it in the beggining and have not regret it if you get the oportunity to purchase you will not be disappointed. I have used alot of video apps before in the past but this by far is the most impressive I also use this to teach classes online so sharing my screen is a necessity and it fullfills this with the one price its a win win. I hope this company expands and grows!
Just wow! I don’t know about you, but since 2020 I’ve had about all of Zoom that I can take. I wanted something new, something that would catch peoples attention, and I needed it to be buttery smooth. Enter butter! Every single meeting I have I have people wanting to purchase it for themselves. It is absolutely fabulous! There are no more boring meetings. It starts out with a waiting room that plays music and shows a picture of your choosing, and then, when you let them in, they join a personalized room. There are so many premade agendas, games, and things to keep the meeting/party going. Get it! You will not be disappointed.
And as for customer support, it is top-notch! Very responsive and professional.
I was waiting until I could more fully test butter before leaving a review. Well they fixed a major problem in my eyes as butter had trouble with older Android phones. I'm glad that butter support listened, when I explained not everyone updates and/or buys new android phones regularly. Pointed out that my Android is an Android 9.0 and although butter was installed it would not log into butter.
Success today. Glad that the platform works and I like the presentation more too.
Yes more butter please. Thank you.
Looking forward to see what the upcoming weeks webinar has in store for butter.
Ran a day session with it,a dn was impressed. Highly recommended.
We use several Streaming Video and video conferencing tools, each with subtle differences.
This app is a good alternative to Zoom, but there are a few things missing. Of course, there are some good parts.
The not-so-good parts
It is a bit heavy and can easily overload the browser
This can delay the start of the meeting and cause problems with the other party.
Background blurring, background images, etc. are not very accurate and take a long time to start, and CPU usage is much higher than Zoom or Teams.
Cannot change the display language
Good points
It's fun with a pop feel, and it's great to be able to use Giphy!
The fact that it has Notes and not just Chat is extremely useful.
There are apps (but isn't it a browser inside?)
Poll and other tools are excellent.
My personal top 4, because it's difficult to reduce it to a top 3 😂
- Elimination of the question "can you see my screen?" 🤪
- Built-in tools like Flashcards, Polls, Miro integration, ...
- A great agenda system, that you can actually use (info, facilitator notes, timing, the tools you need for that agenda item, ...)
- The team behind it is wholeheartedly involved - which leads to super fast support, etc.
... And so much more! A fantastic experience, thank you Butter team!
I'm not even one to be in meetings often, but I decided to try it after seeing how well Butter UI looked. IU and UX means a lot to me!
Butter exceeded my expectation. From its interactive in-session features, such as screen-share, highlight mood, notes, recording and annotation, to its toolbox features, such as breakouts, music playlist, polls, timer, flashcard decks, video embed and the classic whiteboard, meetings have never been so thrilling.
I have joined Butter to accommodate meetings with clients of my agency and staff members of my facility maintenance business.
If you are looking for an alternative to zoom, this is it.
You do not want to miss it!
Took a leap of faith on this one as I didn't want to renew my Zoom membership but I had a session to do with a paid client in less than a few hours so I decided to give Butter a try! I had to follow the tutorial but once I got through it and knew my way around it was over! Butter is such a better experience than Zoom it's crazy! My client loved it and so many others have as well. The only thing is I have not tested this with a larger group. I want to see how this works when I do a workshop where I have around 20-30 people on all at once and see how that goes. I think the agenda feature is super dope and the fact that I can work on Google products right inside of Butter is also very cool. Lot's to love here and well deserving of 5 tacos.
If you are like most of us and are Zoomed out, check out this alternative! It is easier to use, more secure, and much more fun than using Zoom -- your team or clients will actually want to interact with you using this app. It has everything you need to run video meetings that people will want to attend, like agendas, built in templates, and fun things like flying emojis, which you can turn on or off as needed.
There has already been plenty said about the 30-user limit, and I can see why the developers have brought it in, but for us, 30 is all we need, so not a problem for us.
My only complaint (so far), is the lack of Linux support for the desktop app, but the developers are working on that, so I have given the deal 5 tacos anyway. Until that happens, the Brave browser support is a good alternative if you don't have a Windoze or Apple device, and don't want Google looking over your shoulder. This is definitely one deal to grab now, it is already great, and the team behind it do listen to feedback, and act on it, so it will continue to improve over time.
