This is exactly what I've been looking for to use for my web design agency.
I did have some issues setting up the white label with my hosting - but Trent helped me get it sorted.
The only thing missing is being able to duplicate the pre-created settings between brand assets quickly and save me an hour in setup time for new clients. If you can make that happen - this app will officially be incredible!
I have found Brandbay to be very useful. It helps keep my multiple brands separate and organized. I am even using it to host my podcast videos that I embed elsewhere. I plan to go to tier 3 for the extra storage, and CNAME option if they come back to appsumo. I give this application 5 tacos.
We're a hotel management company so we love the ability to organize each of one of our hotels into its own brand with all the assets.
Wish the name of the brand also displayed once you click on the brand. For example, we have multiple hotels of the same brand but once I've selected one, I don't know which one I'm working on if I get sidetracked since the logo is the same. Another feature I'd love to see is bulk download.
Speed has been good but on 4 separate occasions I've had to restart my upload because it gets frozen.
Overall, love the concept! Look forward to a completely polished product. Would recommend people get this as you may regret it later.
I would love to see this work ๐....
I think it is more centered on which country the server is. I am sitting in India and the experience was not good.
Concept is top-notch, but experience is buggy.
1)Uploads are superfast. On the other hand downloads are super slow. I don't know why. To my experience the download started from zero multiple times even for a file size of 35mb.
2) One of my files got corrupted for no reason. Although the support was responsive to recover it later. But still something to keep in mind the risk I felt.
3) Switching things feels laggy. Switching brands or even opening files. Either add a loading animation everywhere so at least it feels responsive. I don't feel it as a big problem from my end but if I am switching from a fast Gdrive. it definitely is.
4) File renaming is useless. I upload the file in a name, and it gets downloaded later with some other name. I was told that it is because of my network error. But it's fine to my knowledge.
....5 tacos for support ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ. They respond and are very active.
To someone reading this.
I would suggest it is all about experience. It could be user specific. Must give this a try. It might work well in your case.
If you want a way to impress your clients and share or even give them access to their corresponding assets in a clean and organized way, Brandbay is a very good option without a doubt, I bought it previously and I am very satisfied with the product, with the new version there has been a very significant jump, it is a good product! five tacos!!!
Beautiful and affordable software, super easy to use and has a lot of potential. I am very happy with it for our company. Ps, the support is very alert and responds very quickly to any questions :)
I purchased the highest tier last year. I noticed how passionate the BrandBay team is after witnessing all the amazing detailed feature updates, added formats, fixes, roadmap and many other improvements.
The support is very responsive. I can also manage every file related to the creation process. Whether itโs Adobe files, code snippets, audio formats and more. Just about everything can be organized, managed, shared.
There is so much BrandBay offers you just have to see for yourself. Iโm grateful for all the hard work contributed so far and proud to be part of the vision.
Thank You.
It's the solution I've been waiting for! I was looking for a solution for my employees so that they could have my company's graphic charter, but not only.... I was looking for a solution, in addition to the graphic charter, that would enable me to share all kinds of files with my employees. Sample emails, videos, photos, posts for social networks... And I've finally found it. Brandbay is intuitive, easy to use and I can embed it in my private Wordpress site. The Brandbay team is friendly and always responds with courtesy. They don't make false promises... If you're breaking your head like me trying to build a solution on wordpress, stop everything and get Brandbay!
There are still a few areas for improvement. Speed on WP isn't the best. I'm waiting for the platform to be translated into French (I've offered to help), and it would be nice if the company logo could be sent to an external link. Other than that, everything's perfect! Don't miss this golden opportunity
I acquired a Tier 3 license last year and I can say that it is a very practical tool for those who work with brands for several clients. Not only to have all the information from a client's brand book at hand, but also to be able to share this material securely with freelancers and suppliers.
I frequently use the Chrome plugin to have instant access to material from a brand I'm working on, to copy colors and download logos and fonts when creating content.
As no tool is perfect, there are still some improvements to be implemented, but I can say that they are improving the tool regularly.
And another very important thing in the case of a lifetime tool, if you need it, the support really works!
So we finally started using this tool and my graphic designer really likes it. I know you can use Google Docs, but when you show the organization and cleanliness of BrandBay to a client/team they are wowed! I like it, and I hope we continue to see updates. Love to buy additional levels :) Good luck and thanks for the opportunity to use the software!
I wanted to like this product because the description was promising, but it's not ready yet, and I disliked it a lot.
I just received an email yesterday announcing version 2.0. The email doesn't have a link to the "new version", so I assume it's the same URL as before, which looks exactly like the old version. Things that I find super annoying about the product:
Confusing, confusing, confusing: Upon login you are always presented with a huge popup that occupies half the real estate. Why? It immediately feels like I've been spammed. It feels incredibly counterproductive and only after a while, I realize that you need to click on the "Close and explore sample..." button.
If you click on "Create your first brand", another popup opens up with instructions on how to create your first brand. Why? I ALREADY clicked on the button!
Once you figure out how to create your first brand, then you go through a maze of clicks and options to add your assets. First, you need to create a "Collection", then you need to create "Groups", and only then, you can create your assets.
Adding assets then it's just a matter of dragging and dropping your asset and editing a few simple fields. I agree that Google Drive may be able to give you the same result at less than half the speed.
I purchased another competing product here on AppSumo months ago, and it's infinitely superior and easier to use than brandbay.
In summary, the UX on this product is terrible and as long as they don't fix it, no one on our team will be using it. I am just afraid that by the time they fix it, they will do a rug pull on us and come up with a new subscription tier for which AppSumo users don't qualify. That's become a common practice for many of these vendors.
It's unclear how this is better than just putting things on google drive or anywhere else. I wish I could understand the value prop once I'm in the app, it doesn't seem to do what you'd want: assemble a brand package, make it accessible to your team and the public. I can't seem to find how that works. I have no idea how fonts are supposed to work beyond manually setting every size and scale. Why no sensible defaults or templates?
What am I missing? Is there a public facing example I can look at to see what this is supposed to be like?
