There are many booking plugins on the WordPress market. However, Amelia is unique - it allows us to handle any booking or event-related scenario. UI/UX may not be the easiest, but it's not a big deal either. Amelia is a great, stable product, I use it regularly.

Easy to install, good support, and plenty of ooopmh...to customise it whichever way you want. Buy or cry, the choice is yours.

I have been using Amelia for clients since the 2020 Appsumo LTD. Our clients use it for lead generation bookings such as free consultations, free workout sessions, etc. I haven't tried it for events, classes, etc., so I can't speak to that, but for this type of bookings, it's worked perfectly.

Also, every time I've needed help the support team has responded really quickly and politely. If the app didn't have the exact feature I needed, they provided me with effective workarounds.

Overall, I'm quite happy I have the unlimited license for Amelia, and will continue to use it for our clients' websites.

Very nice interface and well thought out for most booking cases. Not for events though. What I miss here for example is an option to disable booking for certain events.

Also, what I don't like is not being able to edit the HTML (for example to link employees to buddypress profiles etc) and that data is stored in separate tables in the database and not the wordpress way. Which might be beneficial for performance is setback when using the data otherwise – having to code custom SQL queries and not being compatible with builders etc, and most importantly not being able to connect the data to other custom taxonomies, compability to other plugins etc. If you are looking for an easy, ready made solution and you don't need flexibility in customisation, then go for it. Otherwise don't.

I've been using Amelia as an annual license user for a couple of years. I like it enough, and think I'll have enough users, that I just stacked 5 codes for unlimited lifetime.

It has a few quirks, and can be frustrating at times, but if you stick to its main purpose then it's a very very good appointment plugin. There are a few things that I wish it would do differently or better (please export custom booking fields into separate columns when exported to a csv file!) but that's the case with every plugin.

A lot of software houses develop apps that work well but lack in support.
Amelia ROCKS when it comes to support and could teach them a BIG lesson when t comes to customer service!

I love Amelia! It looks great and functions well. I have not had any problems with errors and the support is responsive and helpful. The reason I give 4 tacos is that I feel, like others have mentioned before, that customer requests are being ignored. I am not talking about "nice to have" features but about features necessary for offering events of any kind. Here are some:
-There is no way to delete or hide past events. There is no option to hide them and if you cancel and delete a past events, your past customers get a cancelation email.
-There is no way to specify a maximum number of tickets per booking.
-There is no way to hide the number of currently registered guests at an event. Due to the fact that past events cannot be hidden, the number of guests you had during any number of past events is always publicly visible.
-Custom notifications and coupons can only be applied to individual events and not to tags/categories. That means you manually have to apply every event you create to the coupons and the custom notifications the event belongs to.
-The time is only displayed in the calendar and in the second step of the booking process, but in the second step of the process, it's unclear since the start and end times are listed below each other. The only workaround I found was to mention the start time in the event title, which works but is not professional and has to be done manually for every event.
As I said, I love Amelia but don't really understand why these issues are not being addressed. I understand that Amelia's focus is not on events but on appointments, but these issues must be solved for a fully functional event solution. If they are, I will update this review.

Amelia booking is definitely the best booking plugin for managing appointments. It's very flexible and also provide you with the required tools to implement a professional front-end booking system. I've literally tried almost all the competitors out there, and if you out-source your "employers" it provides an easy front-end dashboard for them to manage their services and bookings.

The support is helpful, and every month there are new features/functionality that comes out. I was very glad when I could get it on AppSumo :)

I missed it for the last time it was here, and since than I really tried to get it.
I used GPL, but generaly I prefer the original on plugins I use a lot, I consider Purchasing It from their site, but didn't want to pay too much, and I even Joined a Facebook group that trade and sell Appsumo's LTD (which is great group - but Amelia wasn't avilible for unlimitted websites over there).
When I saw it here again, I bought 5 codes stright away! my fastast purchace!
